Been there too man. Caught my 1st felony at 17 and went to prison 2x over my heroin addiction and my running partner was my Dad. Luckily something snapped about 12yrs ago and I never looked back. Now I'm married with 3 kids and going back to school to learn how to run CNC mills so I can make knives. I'll make sure to send you one when I'm up and running.

Wow man I can relate to so much you said. I too got alot of wild and crazy stories that some people won't believe. I grew up in Metro Detroit and saw and experienced a lot of things nobody should ever have. In Feb 2006 I woke up one day on my cousins couch and told myself I don't want this life no more, within a couple days I checked myself into rehab, 5 months later I graduated the program. The day I graduated the program I wasted no time I got in a car and left everything and everyone I knew in the rearview and left the area and moved to a nice small town and started all over. Best thing I ever did!

Never saw any evidence of that but he was a convicted felon. I joined the Navy when I was 18 just to get away, changed my life, gave me focus. It's been 45 years now and I've been living a better life. Thanks for sharing your story brother.

This hit very close to my life. I was down a bad path with friends that wss bad influences. Was addicted to pain killer's. It wss until i hit 25 when things clicked in my head and got cleaned up. After the cloudy mind was cleared i was so disgusted by the things ive done and so embarrassed and my family had to see all of that. I had to make a major change and it took 8 years but im married now. Buying a new house. Clean and a home body enjoying edc stuff and reading books. I still have flash backs of the horrifc things ive done but everyday i look at what ive fixed and built with my wife and that is the strength i find to push down the darkness. Thank you so much for telling your story. This will be added to my inner strength to keep pushing forward to try do much more good to make up for the bad.

This was my exact life. I thought Oceans 11 was a goal. I was a roofer. Became a locksmith at 13. Popped as a Juvenile…thrice. When I was put in Gladiator schools reformatory. I vowed to never get arrested again. Got popped at 17 with a trunk of guns. Caught a break. I committed 100s of crimes and that lead to feeling invulnerable. There was a code. I looked up to old thief’s. Cops did Choir practice at me Pops shop. And like a lot of human beings with opportunities the ones that were there were corrupt n thief’s themselves. Started making legit money and it was more than I got stealing. I know you J. Because you were me. Honor is currency. Ethics leads to honor.

Youngsters with problematic behavior are usually the most intelligent and creative ones out of the bunch. They just use their outstanding mental capacity in misguided ways and they eventually end up creating morally bad things. So they make both themselves and society suffer. As I have been following you for a long time it is clear as day, that you are a smart and well-spoken person. I just want to say lastly, positive criticisms are risky business. We run the risk of coming off as having a sense of being better somehow than others, or smarter or talking down on people. I am not that, I just have a bad habit of attacking issues that may be difficult to speak about but that I feel passionate about. I speak up with zero I’ll intent in my heart, but rather to offer alternative perspectives that I think (I THINK) are well meant and helpful. I acknowledge though, my ideas may also be wrong. All love!

Good for you, brother, for getting straight! I can understand your situation, my dad was an old school bootlegger & moms was a druggie, we stayed on the run from the police till I was about 15 & i started getting into a lot of trouble, pops got busted so he changed quits bootlegging, but moms was a junkie her whole life & I followed that path & it's cost me a lot in my life but I'm trying! Keep on keeping on!👊🏾❤️‍🔥🥷🏽

i know how difficult it is from my own experience.. i was also a criminal for years.. i grew up like that and was in prison for 7 years.. after that i got back together with my highschool love and she got me out of there.. that was 15 years ago and now i have 2 children with her, a beautiful house and i have the most beautiful life i could ever imagine and i am thankful for it every day.. everyone makes mistakes.. the only question is how you deal with it.. intelligent people make the same mistake max 2 times and stupid people make the same mistake over and over again without learning from it
