    Hold on there Dave...
You've got the wrong info based on what I heard on the video. Lightning striked on the house and caught fire and got the fireworks going.
My educated guess is that the fire department wanted nobody to get hurt in escorting the remainder of the wired fireworks inside that partially burned home. If ember ashes remained in the house, that would be detrimental in holding fireworks out the house.

Thanks for the post. Did lightening strike the house or did a pre-wired fireworks display go wrong. What was the damage if any pre destruction of the entire home. with this control burn. What exactly happened here?

I watched the video the fire chief said nothing about lightning hitting the house plus atf and fire department was there before the fire. So you saying they waited until lightning hit the house then watched it burn.

@displayfireworks1 It doesn't say the entirety. Only that lightning caused the fire at the start. That's how the fire department was able to go inside the house and find the fireworks.
Unlucky day for the house owner. Personally, that's a big no no for the lad. To prefuse illegal fireworks in corporated municipal. This should only be done at a display level in a safe building or piece of land.

Don’t know what video you watch I watched the video of the fire chief interview and made no statement of lightning. I’m in the fireworks business lightning can’t do that to consumer fireworks. The fire chief admitted lightning the fireworks because they thought it was unstable. The fireworks where stable until he set them off

@@fppyro5127 Lots of ambiguity in these news reports . If there was a lightening strike and somehow the fire department found this pre-wired fireworks display and had to destroy the home. . It is all random incredible coincidence.

After some research, the initial fire broke out on 6/22. It was a perfectly clear day, there was no lightning strike. Somehow the fireworks were set off by the home owner and the ensuing fire got out of control. The video shows that the initial fire was in the garage and quickly became a 2 alarm fire and most all of the fireworks were set off. The fire companies put out the fire, and the house was severely damaged. The family would not have been able to stay at the house. Then on 6/27 the fire department along with the bomb squad burned the remaining house down. For reference look at YT videos called 'Bruce Dr. Controlled Burn (Shelton, CT) 6/27/24' and '[EARLY ARRIVAL] Bruce Dr. 2nd Alarm Fire (Shelton, CT) 6/22/24'.
The confusion comes from various news videos with incorrect titles and incorrect descriptions which lead everyone to think that the house was perfectly fine and they decided to burn it down instead of removing the fireworks.

I am sure you have answered this question at some point so forgive me if you are having to repeat yourself. Will an Ignite I18 qualify for the certificate?

The fire chief should be fired I seen the video they could have just took water cans and just hosed the product down if it was so unstable

The house was already on fire and the chances of an ember or spark igniting them was the driving cause for the decision... end of the day it came down to safety of the firefighters on scene... also pd doesn't make the calls at the scene of any fire that is strictly at the discretion of the chief officer in command

Another business opportunity for Dave! Create a course for firemen and police agencies to learn what types of fireworks and firing systems they are looking at on a call. May help prevent this kind of this.

I bet they did this so they can say "look how dangerous fireworks are" meanwhile it was perfectly fine untill they got in there and ignited it! And why the hell did they say that a lightning strike was what started it? Completely ridiculous and I hope this guy sues these firemen and gets paid!
