  • On Yom HaAtzma'ut 2012/5772, the Jewish Agency partnered with the Office of the President of Israel to broadcast the festive celebrations live from the President's Residence in Jerusalem. President Peres, Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Barak, and IDF Chief of Staff Gantz all participated in the event, which also included the presentation of citations to outstanding IDF soldiers. Among the 120 soldiers honored at the event were numerous olim (immigrants), including from South Africa, Mexico, the United States, Belgium, Ukraine, Ethiopia, France, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Singapore, and Germany. The celebration concluded with the singing of "HaTikvah" ("The Hope"), Israel's national anthem.

In 63 BC Pompey conquered Eretz Israel (Palestine) for Rome. From 37BC until 4BC Herod the Great ruled the land as the Roman appointed king under the Caesars. During the reign of King Herod, Jesus was born in Bethlehem. In AD70 Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman general Titus as he crushed a revolt by the Jewish people, and Rome was moved to rename the Promised Land “Palestina.” The name "Palestine" was officially introduced in the period after 138AD, This is recorded on Titus's arch in Rome.

I don't know of any existing Cannanites, claiming Cannan and if this was the case would you support Cannanites over the Palestinian occupiers?

I think you meant to say that the Land of Caanan had its land conquered for over 3000 years starting with the ancient Hebrews.

Israel on the other hand has repeatedly had its land conquered for over 2000 years starting with the Romans sacking of Jerusalem (The city of King David) and now partly occupied by Islamists who seek to destroy her. By the way "Zion" is a biblical term referring to Jerusalem.

Now your getting it .....The Palis are aboriginees and the Zios are like the British colonialist except they came from all over Europe. The only thing different is that the Zios built their state in a post colonial age. If they finished ethnic cleansing 50 years eariler people wouldn't find Zionism so repugnant . Instead we watch Palestine being colonized house by house. There is something called international law .....look it up sometime ...then it wouldn't be so complicated for you.

Yep. And the ludicrous claim that's Israel didn't launch wars in its history, what rot. That's not even Israeli historian's consensus.

You have obviously read the revised version of history, not actual history, but if that is what you want to believe....Do you also belong to the flat earth society?

So in effect what you are really saying isyou condone the murder of inocent civilians, including the slicing off of the head of a 10 month old baby, which is what happened recently. You really are sick.
