Great presentation. Just rounded my first two 6 mm hex at the very start of this project! And that was with a larger helper. Further suggestions on proceeding and with getting rounded ones out?
That was good Sir, thankyou. I am now considering which brand of bars to choose for my Vstrom K3 DL1000. Any words upon your own choice and rationale? Kind regards.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I think this question depends on your location. I'm in the US so I would recommend Givi. It is a reliable brand. Works pretty well and good quality for me. I will not recommend using any cheap product without too many reviews. Riding safe is really important. Another way to pay attention is to make sure you have the correct year and model matched your bike. Good luck man. :)
Sorry I'm not sure either. Personally, I would recommend to use the year-matched parts unless you can exchange for free or modified by yourself. The V strom 650 changed its design after 2016. The accessories are mostly different. But u can try as u got chance. Just pay attention to not only the screw location, but also the screw size. Good luck man. :)
For Givi crash bar, I lost a rubber band which will cost the vibration in high rpm after a half year. I fixed it by using a nylon cable zip tie. Hope it will help u. :)

Any clue if a 2012-2016 crash bar fit on the 2018 bike?ive noticed a difference in the design, but the screws location appears similar. Thsnks

Do you still like the chrash bars? I noticed some reviews saying that they would vibrate a lot after a certain amount of rpm.

@@mingway Hi...I have just a new bike and noticed the vibration at 5500rpm. Where did you put nylon zip tie? Thanks in advance
What torque?
sorry, I didn't use torque wrench. I installed it by myself and tight it in annual inspection at the motorcycle repair shop.
