@@ArcticWolf-qd6ev definitely a learning curve. After Smart Switch, the layout pretty much looks like my old iPhone for now so not making use of Android's customizability. Will get there in time, but the "feel" of using a new platform is very enjoyable!
i got a used s21 recently and it's pretty great. i actually thought this video was pretty useless until i saw your comment LOL, all of these things i knew. but it helped you get started on android! that's awesome.

Have remove animations turned on and the developer options for animations are turned off, but going back to the home screen there is an annoying animation that I cant get rid of.
Just got rid of my iPhone 11 pro max for a s21 ultra. Longest time iPhone user and I have no regrets getting the s21. Much more customization and the picture quality is unreal. 100x zoom on the camera is crazy. Only thing i miss is Imessage but I got over it in a day
Nice review, i have S21 from 2 days and display its terrible with 1080x2400 resolution lower than S6, S7 S8 , S9 S10 and S20. Samsung support didnt even know that when i asked them. Also i cannot play videos more than 1080p in youtube can u imagine ? My S6 Edge can and difference in quality its from earth to space. In fact with S21 (not ultra) u get the display of A71 (400 euro cheap phone) Imagine playing videos in youtube at 1080p in 2021 ? Also with 1080x2400 this low resolution any photo looks worse than any other S version simply bec S6 Edge for example has 1440 x 2560 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~577 ppi density) - even higher ppi destiny can u imagine ? Im watching both of them in front of me and i cant believe how samsung can fail so bad selling u the most worst display ever from all S version cheap , low resolution, low ppi, terrible photos and video quality lower than 5 years old phone.
@@LegatoStudios if u cant make difference in quality from 1440 in youtube (which u cannot put on S21 compare to all oldest phones) and 1080p it means u have very serious eyes problem bec the difference its from earth to space
@@panksa7853 After having the max resolution option on the S10 and 'downgrading' these settings on my new S21, I have to say that I find it barely noticeable. The display is still silky smooth and sharp with the FHD setting and the 120hz display IMO.
I just went from a first generation pixel to this damn s21, loaded with useless bloatware. I really really really really wish I had just gotten another pixel.
Feel the same, I am just not impressed by my new S21, that's why I'm here. I thought maybe I was missing something about this "great" phone. I'm just not impressed by it. I rather have a Pixel or Motorola! 😭
@@Miranda3730 I've improved it somewhat by downloading the google phone app, messages app and clock app from the play store. Waaaay better than the corresponding samsung apps. I was getting 10 robocalls per day with the samsung phone app, despite toggling on all the blocking choices. With the google phone app, I've gotten zero robocalls. I've also downloaded all the pixel sounds, because the samsung ones are garbage. I'm gonna work on getting the pixel camera app, but that's not as easy because it's not on the play store. Anyway, it's better now, but nowhere close to a pixel.
You need to purchase either the wired headphones with c jack or buy wireless headphones and use Bluetooth. It doesn't have the actual port anymore for headphones like older Samsung phones. They went away with provided headphones as well as the charging block to (supposedly) save on the environment 😑. Which in all actuality adds to more packaging buying new headphones that have the USB-C end and more packaging when you buy your own USB-C charging block 🤔 . Stupid idea 💡 in my opinion

Try Nova Launcher. Ypu won't go back. Super customizable

You can change it only on s21 ultra, in s21 and s21+ it's always fhd+

I have the s21 Ultra and I put it down to 1080 cause I can't tell a difference and it's going to save battery

That’s only on the Ultra. S21 regular is FHD+ only.

Is there any major differences with the s20 and s21?
S20 is slimmer/smaller, has a sharper display and a glass back. Personally think it's still a great phone a year later.
S21 is faster
Major difference is the lack of expandable memory microSD card slot. That was the biggest issue i had going from the S20 to the S21
