Thank you for the reaction video. I think watching all 3 of them back to back to back is best so you remember who the first characters are when you listen to the end of the third video. You understand better the relationship each of them had. I won't spoil it here.
For sure, that realisation of the stories full circle is what we all want to see at violets tale. 1 sitting I'd agree is the best way to experience it.
What gets me everytime after the first listen- put aside the insanely unique guitar melodies, amazing lyricism and storytelling, incredible vocals and vocalizations that are pseudo operatic.....it's a LIVE TAKE. For instance, the "she never stood a chance" up the stairs, he has to be on que musically and physically for it to work..... And, incredible cinematography in all of his videos. The use of lighting, setting, lenses......and it's LIVE TAKE. It's performance art while standing on a tightrope
"A lady down in Paddington is fighting just to stay alive..." Yeah, I do it too. In the shower I'll even do the falsetto bit which is hard because I'm a baritone. XD
To me it’s the nuances of Jenny being like her mother Violet being Silent and still and Screech being like his father Stevie violent. The more you watch this the more the intricacies reveal themselves until you find yourself listening to the tale time and time again
I never picked up on this despite watching it a million times. Now it's got me thinking the whole nature versus nurture thing and this is making me worried. I believe that violets silence was her direct response to abuse. I'm not sure if that trait would be passed down genetically to Jenny. However...and this is the bit that's hard for me. What if Violets parents raised Jenny? They are next of kin, they could have raised Jenny but maybe they said they couldn't handle twins? Violets fathers abuse of Jenny , could have lead to the same silence response. "Say nothing, don't scream tell no one". Horrible thought that I can't shift.
@@shaunmoore681 Well, I always imagined it as being put up for adoption and being seperated, as the twins did not know eachother.... That being said, its pretty clear at 14 that Jenny was already a hooker. Walked the streets a thousand times. By 14 regularly? Unlikely. Statue in high heeled shoes. Why would she be wearing them at 14 walking home in the middle of the night? "Clocked out like big ben" at the beginning of Screech's tale. I also take this to mean she was done working....on the streets. Was the abuse violet-esque in nature in our narrator's mind when writing this? Hard to say, but I think its safe to say neither twin grew up in a loving environment.
He created ultra Dckens in a ten minute trilogy. Thanks for your reaction Carly Shea - Knox does the style, Pegasus does the introductions - you do the humanity. Would love you to do ‘some people smile’ by the blades - a Dublin masterpiece.
Hey, just FYI, trauma literally alters the physical structure of our brains and our hormone responses in a way which is genetically inherited. This is doing a lot in terms of explaining generational/race-based trauma responses where no direct control was exhibited by the trauma-affected individual. It explains a lot in cases like this (I know this is a story, but it is a real possible scenario) by noting that when we are born, our brain structures/neuroplasticity responses/developmental neuropsychology is impacted on a physical and hormonal level by our parents' experiences, and their parents and so on irrespective of levels of contact or roles in raising one as a child@@shaunmoore681
I’ve enjoyed your reactions to Ren, you’re very observant! It’s nice seeing someone smiling through the art of it but understanding the pain too. Main reason I’m commenting is something about you in this video made me immediately want to watch your reaction to his song “Losing It.” It doesn’t seem like you have a reaction yet… if you haven’t watched it, it’s fun and you’ll probably be excited to find out what you & ren have in common 🙃
His mastery of story telling is superb. His non linear introductions leading to the story being an explanation is so spot on. So different, so refreshing, so engaging.
Ren has been trying hard to respond to everyone that has reacted to this (which is cool in itself), but it has been so viral that he has trouble keeping up. He is now undergoing treatment in Canada and will be there for a bit. He wants to be known for his music, not his past, but both are really the story in his songs. He recently posted on his page the latest on his health explaining exactly where he is at and asked all who reacted and who are curios to be pointed back there in order to keep his incoming mail and messages and such down. www.youtube.com/@RenMakesMusic/community
I will watch, and listen. He is on a path. He is not responsible to me for an explanation. I have felt the blows, falling like a crashing pilot...I get it, and I get it DEEPLY. I felt HI REN so deeply it took hours to recover. He is illustrating the life I've known and I need no subtitles to get it. "IS THIS MAKING YOU UNCOMFORTABLE?" Wow, that was a well timed commercial. You don't listen to Ren for "background". It's not "relaxing" It is a necessary and productive discomfort. I listen to Ren to THINK and LEARN and PONDER. This is not "fluff" or "dance baby dance" I will take the time to watch ANY performance of his, in ANY venue. It IS therapy. Stop asking the poor man a million personal questions. Just LISTEN with all your senses. He's going THROUGH SHIT. So are we.
Amazing reaction as always! Also agree with the comments about all the little details and intricacies. A few I noticed and love were the fact that you have Jenny and James (Screech), common twin names, and that their mom is called Violet - because she's constantly beaten (red for blood and blue for bruises making violet). Brings to mind the line 'made to be broken and beaten' from Hi Ren. You should check out his other music as well. Losing It (Fisher Rap Retake) is actually one of my favourite tracks he's released. Goes haaard and the video is sick!
"People who deal with mental health, which is literally everybody", don't just parrot words that you hear on the internet, think before you speak. These are you role models, the people who you follow, " influencers", whatever the hell that means. Watch their videos as a purpose of entertainment, don't follow "literally" everything they do and say. On a different note, Ren sure a talented young man, I wish you all the best my friend.
I grew up in an abusive situation and this always breaks my heart. Ren is the minstrel poet musician! Life is truly a tear and a smile. Great reactions always!🌻
Ren revealed that Patrick wasn't home because he was with Screech's girlfriend that's why she was busy when he called. Ren described this by saying "something much more sinister at hand" 🤯🤯
"No refuge for our villain, for the bitter hands of faith have something far more sinister in mind, that does await" - Meaning he's gonna get shot and dies.
7:55 - "The devil comes to dance" ... but then as he returns to the present and plays the reverse of the time change sounds, and "the devil's work" is done, he walks by a Luciferan sigil.
I love.. when I shared this song, when it first came out, cause I loved it... I felt like friends and family would connect with it in a bad way and hate me for sharing. I'm so glad he blew up, so I don't feel weird that I was sharing this before he blew up.
Small things, like the eyelid flipping as the camera struggles to focus or the echo in the halls, are what pull you into the story as if you were the character. ❤🔥🍻
Nylon strings on a classical guitar have a particular sound to them clearer and cleaner tone👍 Ren has often spoke out in defense of the weak and abused🌿💔
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for finally turning off the flip and transparent modes! Now I can enjoy watching these. Yes, Samuel the videographer is genius as well, look how they found the location, blocked out the moves and used the acoustics of the spaces, but what was unplanned was that in the silence after 'Stevie's' attack it was filled with the sound of seagulls disturbed by the sound of a jet overhead. Did you catch the twist, I think we are left unsure, and also it might not seem as apparent when you don't see these as one piece, and unfortunately any follower who stumbles on these out of order, or forgets the context if they don't see them after each other.
such a dope reaction Great reaction, welcome to the Ren rabbit hole ;) its a deep one..pls check out/// The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop /// Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live) you will not be disapointed by this genius ;)
The three videos should be shown all at once. Not sure she got the connection of her twin's Jenny and Screech being the characters in the first two videos. I could be wrong, but the usual reaction is much more shockn than what was shown in this reaction.
The GUITAR....👀👀 And what a Shakespearian tragedy. Jenny/Screech/Violet......three and a half people's entire life story in 13 minutes. Not a word...or note...or expression could be more communicative and filled with emotion.
Agreed. You will catch how its all threaded together. Did you guys figure out why screech's girl and friend were unavailable and couldn't hide him?.

Born side by side but died one street apart
I wake up singing Violets tale..london city far from pretty two zero zero five....
LOL, I've done the same.
"A lady down in Paddington is fighting just to stay alive..." Yeah, I do it too. In the shower I'll even do the falsetto bit which is hard because I'm a baritone. XD

What if Stevie isn’t the father but violets father is because she had a council flat on welfare she would be pregnant

He absolutely doesn't care if it comes out radio friendly, he emotes the characters and mood.
His mastery of story telling is superb. His non linear introductions leading to the story being an explanation is so spot on. So different, so refreshing, so engaging.
He is going to drop a 'Retake' of Bittersweet Symphony' filmed in Brighton for us, tmrw at 7pm gmt.

Ren reminds me of Rick Mayall doing Grim Tales with accoustic, especially the part where Ren is knocking on Violets door. Absolutely brilliant!

Violet is also the opposite of violent.

Just to note, Violet's Tale was written/released over 2 years after Jenny and Screech's Tales. 🏴
Ren revealed that Patrick wasn't home because he was with Screech's girlfriend that's why she was busy when he called. Ren described this by saying "something much more sinister at hand" 🤯🤯
Something more sinister than murdering someone?
"No refuge for our villain, for the bitter hands of faith have something far more sinister in mind, that does await" - Meaning he's gonna get shot and dies.
7:55 - "The devil comes to dance" ... but then as he returns to the present and plays the reverse of the time change sounds, and "the devil's work" is done, he walks by a Luciferan sigil.
You feel the intensity in the beginning guitar playing. Always need to prepare yourself each time you watch him.
I have been waiting for this, I am commenting before I have watched but I know this will be epic! 🍿 at the ready
Keep it coming!
Great reaction, but better if you hear them all at once...🙂
You are being very diplomatic, But she seemingly missed the most important connection of the trilogy.
🤯🤯🤯 I’m a huge instant fan as well 😊
I love.. when I shared this song, when it first came out, cause I loved it... I felt like friends and family would connect with it in a bad way and hate me for sharing. I'm so glad he blew up, so I don't feel weird that I was sharing this before he blew up.

the seagulls when he switches to the concerned "say something", london birds seem to have the best timing in the world
You and Ren ❤️ thx🙏
Wait until you realise why a 14yo Jenny was walking down a street in high heels at night for the 1000th time...
Mate I got on to it she’d walked a thousand time before then she escaped 👌 also we call the profession street walkers aswell
Ren is next level.
2005 was when I got meningitis and septicemia, lucky to be alive, and now I am here with my daughter as a single parent, 😊
Nylon strings on a classical guitar have a particular sound to them clearer and cleaner tone👍 Ren has often spoke out in defense of the weak and abused🌿💔
Ren said it...."History repeats itself".......domestic violence is often generational......we all learn behavior from our parents.........
Ren always blows my mind 🔥🙏🔥
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for finally turning off the flip and transparent modes! Now I can enjoy watching these.

The three bard-core tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet, are best revealed listening in that order. It's all revealed at hte end of Violet's Tale.
its actually a triology and you have to watch the tale of jenny then the tale of screech and then the tale of violet.
yes
Add a letter N to the name Violet !
such a dope reaction Great reaction, welcome to the Ren rabbit hole ;) its a deep one..pls check out/// The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop /// Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live) you will not be disapointed by this genius ;)
Did you realize that Screech unknowingly killed his own sister?
And TWIN sister at that!
I think she missed that completely. This trilogy should be shown in on e sitting.
The three videos should be shown all at once. Not sure she got the connection of her twin's Jenny and Screech being the characters in the first two videos. I could be wrong, but the usual reaction is much more shockn than what was shown in this reaction.
Listen to "hunger" and " money game"
We must protect ren
If you want another rap song with this level of storytelling, check out "Dance With The Devil" by Immortal Technique
Funnily enough the ending of this is what reminds me of Dance with the Devil, both are fucking phenomenal stories with crushing endings.
@@snewginz eame
More ren wow
Talk about pulling a Tarantino! 😳😱🙃
The GUITAR....👀👀 And what a Shakespearian tragedy. Jenny/Screech/Violet......three and a half people's entire life story in 13 minutes. Not a word...or note...or expression could be more communicative and filled with emotion.
ren desrcibes this as "bardcore".
😆😘
I notice you've not reacted to Ren ' Loosing it' you might want wear the same top .
Nice reaction🔥. Can I just ask did you realise Violet was the mother of Jenny and screech? Ha!! Just checking 🤣
there is a lot of comment here asking the same question.
#bardcore
Another reactor praising Ren for his storytelling but completely missing that massive twist at the end
She didn't see the 1st 2 i think. That's why.
