Wasn't the goal of this patch to give Zerg more ground-based anti-air options and dissuade them from building mass queens for defense? Game 2 LOL. Mass Queens, and once again the only way through an air army is corrupters.
Doesn’t help they made hydras slower on creep than archons. And the new ability is a separate hive+ research too for only 1 out of 10 seconds apm sink. Seen multiple players start out testing the new hydra only to start realizing this patch didn’t actually make them better. Even the ones still using them have started ignoring the ability research entirely because it barely changes the outcome when their apm is focused on other things and more important casters.
@@MarsStarcruiser hydra already very fast on creep and without creep its too fast before ptr. Corruptors also easy to build fast if you have money. And corruption dont stop if they being attacked. Without overcharge it lot easier to snipe nexus, this doing devastating dmg.
Don't see why not put the new Hydra upgrade on Lair tech and must say was surprised when heard that they intended it for Hive Perhaps nerf a bit but again there's no point in having them have 2 upgrades for mobility tbh 🤔
@@AlexanderVoroncov Not sure why you call them fast when Zerg has no 7-9+ range aerial sniper to square off against key units in death balls properly, like both the other races do. If you watch Raynor sacrifice 49 hydra’s just to take out mothership, the ability ended up a trap, luring Raynor to get all his hydra’s killed because there was no way to pull them back in time. They are too slow at their current range and a 1 second every 10 is not enough. Corruptors are good air-to-air but since their range is subpar, your forced to engage within the killzone of hundreds of dps, in an all-in-or-not-at-all situation too, but maybe not nearly as bad as hydras. If broodlords got bug fixed, the fallout from the forced transition actually wouldn’t be so bad and I wouldn’t mind them so much how they are.
How about having 3 oracles back at your bases doing nothing but constantly plant status fields and replenish energy off cooldown? For just 3 oracles that would be an insane defense right?
spoilers. Love the casts winter. keepem coming! Man game 2 was such a roller coaster ride. The mass zergling counter attacks distracting maxpax cost him so much potential gains. missing killing the +1 armor denial and pool with the carriers could have helped so much with keeping the momentum for maxpax.

Roaches were always like that The problem is now Toss can afford just too many stasis traps with the new Nexus ability I think it should probably be nerfed in range or perhaps even duration while not active a bit
Proposal that we rip the band-aid off, and just call the new Hydra ability "Ghetto Blink". That's how it would be used, if anyone could ever properly use it, but a Tier 3 upgrade that is strictly worse than the Tier 1.5-2 ability of the Stalkers is just not it.
The zerg hatchery tech tree too hard to get when there is constant harrassment action. While the other race can tech up, zerg is stuck on lings and roaches = just GG. They need to make lair and hive cheaper so zerg have the option to tech up while constantly having a big army at their front door.
No way, zerg too good on making drones and macro, and you dont need hive on every hatchery to build army. Just one building to win them all while protoss need many stargates/gates or robos zerg need nothing. Big army already here.
Reynor made too many mistakes in this match. Ranging from fumbling his early defense, read the opponent wrong to being caught frozen so many times with a big number of units. He got frozen at multiple keys moments and lost a fight where he had double the military supply of similar tier units because half of his army got frozen. Maxpax obviously is more familiar with the new patch. He played a lot better than Reynor this match overall.
@@clorkmagnus What exactly did Max Pax do other than use blink stalkers and drop stasis wards? All I saw was the same old with many more wards enabled by the energy recharge. A good change would be to allow one oracle only create a single statsis ward.
