Very beautiful finished piece. It came out much better than i expected. It's a piece that wants to dissemble itself. Do, well done! Thanks for sharing.😷⚒
That's a gorgeous hunk of jasper! I wonder if they were successful turning it into a sphere? Do you suppose they might have had to stabilize it first? In spite of the little flaws the cab came out really beautiful. The shine is fantastic!
Where do you get your premade sterling settings? I ordered stuff from a place that used color instead of actual metal type to list their products and they were cheap metal in silver or gold colors. Thanks for putting out good content.
@@RockhoundingLife kambaba is all dark green and black with black eyes/orbs. I would send you a picture if I could. Love the video though. Good info on ocean jasper and how the orbs can be fragile when working it.
"Ocean Jasper" is actually a registered trademark. There are two different deposits of this kind of orbicular jasper, one from Marovato, and the other from Kabamby (not to be confused with kambaba jasper). Maravato Ocean Jasper is characterized by a dark green background and pale pink and white orbs, with druzy pockets, while Kabamby Ocean Jasper has a lighter green background or a mustard orange background with green rings and dark pink, orange, cream, and green orbs.
@@Dreadnought242 ok. I stand corrected and appreciate the information. I thought people were mispronouncing kambaba and here I am displaying my ignorance.

Would it work better if you stabilized the slab before cutting and shaping it?
Yes. Just not sure what to use as stabilizer

They had many spheres down there made from this material. Very cool.

I buy from Etsy. I buy from people that list sterling silver and actually list the purity.
@@RockhoundingLife thanks
Cool! Where’s the material from originally?
Madagascar
You should try to stabilize the cab before you start shaping and polishing.
I will definitely try that next time! Thanks!
