Amazing!!!! Excellent work from everyone involved. This is police work at its best. As advancements in forensic science are made dedicated cops are sometimes able to bring at least some kind of resolution to the case. In this case the doer(s) may already be dead, but at least Tamera gets a proper send off, if by no one else the cops who poured heart and soul into identifying her. Well done folks. RIP to Tamera.
The identity thief used Tamara's name/identity so should be able to be traced if she worked somewhere under that name or bought a car/house etc, used a doctor, had a bank account, these should be checked for addresses over the years in order to find her. She should be a suspect or person of interest at least.
That long ago it would be pretty hard to follow a paper trail, and impossible now. Besides, the killer probably didn't use her name for long, making that trail go cold.
No matter how smart killers think they are, they're no match for a team like the one who searched for Tamara's identity. It's incredible the number of hours, months, years and decades these investigators are willing to invest in order to identify these unfortunate folk who are killed and discarded like garbage. It's just very sad that Tamara had no living relatives to be returned home to.
If I understand, the woman in Ohio referred to near the end of the video was using the victim's ID and that was how the original Las Vegas missing persons case came to be closed? If so, that is just another horrible layer to this mystery. But maybe a solid lead for the cold case unit to follow.
This is why dna is so important. Everyone deserves to be identified. Hopefully they will be able to find people still alive who know her and help lead to finding her killers!

And even more importantly, it is still just *nothing more than prejudiced ink stains on paper; it is only YOU who gives it special meaning.*
What IS true and what IS verifiable is that people actually wrote works of fiction thousands of years ago too- why is this undeniable fact so hard to understand and grasp?
"Jesus Christ existed in flesh and there are so many proofs of it. "
Most would agree that a person named Jesus existed- Jesus' name in Hebrew was “Yeshua” which translates to English as Joshua. It was a very common name and so is unremarkable.
Biblical archaeology... You carry the Bible in one hand and a trowel in the other...an archaeologists once said he doesn't know of anyone who didn't go looking for Noah's ark that didn't find it.
@@aluzbrilhounaescuridao9486 "You are correct in all of it to a point. ... Christianity has become a myth due to the bad apples that claim to be part of it."
I submit, those whom you call "bad apples" can and will apply the same label to you.
*Sapient Wisdom* Native Americans have a saying; if dogs and horses could draw their gods, their gods would look like dogs and horses.
And religion is stupid ~
@@aluzbrilhounaescuridao9486 Rest assured ...every knee shall bend. Exciting times we are living through though.
What a decent cop. Many cops his age are. They were trained in a different time. He also shares the credit.
Not necessarily, cops were probably even more racist back then.
It doesn't have anything to do with his age for fuck's sake.
We have bad people and we have good people and it doesn't matter what your profession is because if you are a good person than you will be a good cop, a good fireman, a good doctor, a good anything you want to be. The only thing that matters about people is what you are made of inside your body and inside your heart. You can be corrupted but only if you let yourself be corrupted. God Bless you and stay safe !
@@Page-Hendryx You can swear all you like although it does not add to your credibility. My experience is that most cops were more polite and less violent in the 1950s and 1960s than they are today.
Agreed and they were protected from prosecution.
Glad she was finally identified. Such a sad story,
I pray that you can catch her killer. He or she knew they would be caught with her identification
Her killer(s) is probably dead and gone by now! But glad she got her name. Such a sad story. May she RIP🙏🏽
@@francelinamommyof3204, she would be 62 today and her killer (or killers) could still be alive. Where were YOU on the night in question. . . ?!! ... jus kiddin' 😉
@@francelinamommyof3204
Hey, somebody around her age would be 60ish. The average life expectancy in the US is 75ish. Let's make sure he spends his final years in prison ... where he belongs.
I read an article stating that a woman in Ohio was caught using her ID a month after she went missing. I don't why connections weren't made. I guess because she was missing from Las Vegas and her unidentified body was found in Oklahoma. Surely they should look for this woman if she's still alive. Obviously the murderer.
@@factsoverfiction7826 or she.... does not have to be a man. Women kill too.
Congratulations to you all for such a professional job in finding her identity. The lime lady is not a flattering name to be known as. 👍🏻❤️
Well let's hope it doesn't take another 40 years to catch her killer let's get this person or persons off the streets. It could very well end up finding out that the killer or killers of this could already be deceased but let's not hope that they need to pay for what they did to her. Rest easy beautiful 💖💖❤️❤️🙏🙏 Angel. I would also like to thank you for your service to our military.
Bravo! Good People never gave up. Technology sometimes is great 👍
I like how he made sure to credit everyone that helped
Sadly her body was found same year her family reported her missing😔.... Heartbreaking story... I pray they are together now, May they RIP 🙏🏽 Amen
RIP Tamara 💕
As a proud U.S. NAVY veteran I salute you.
I want to know the rest of the story!!!!!
IKR
They don't know wat happened 🥺
Me too! What a wonderful detective?
May my military sister now rest in peace now back with her family!!
Thank you both and all our Military for your service and sacrifices. I am SOOO grateful and proud of you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Same... grateful my sister in arms has been identified. Such a shame that her immediate family had passed without knowing what became of her. May they all rest in eternal peace!!
Glad they solved the ID on her. So nice to see a press conference that doesn’t have a dozen people behind the speaker just for a photo op.
They found her on her 21st birthday. I feel like someone just kicked me in the gut.
God Knows... You Will Meet GOD!♥️
*Law enforcement had prior contact with a lady who WAS USING Tamera's IDENTIFICATION?*
And have a picture of said lady??! That's someone who should be questioned, release her photo! There's been no further developments, maybe identifying the lady in the photo will speed up the process of who killed Ms. Tamera.
May she rest in peace now 💖
Yes Indeed, but that might take some real policework. ...
I hope she has friends that are still alive.
Good thinking
41 years ago - her murderer is surely over 60 - if not 70. Still hope they get caught !!!
Even better if they got any of the murderers DNA that can also be used to family out the murderer or match to a suspect
That long ago it would be pretty hard to follow a paper trail, and impossible now. Besides, the killer probably didn't use her name for long, making that trail go cold.
@@howardsmith9342 What you say could be true, but it's still worth trying.
@@kat2270 I agree, it needs to be tried, but after so much time I have little hope.
@@howardsmith9342 Not true. SS#s have been tracked by the IRS for employer and employee tax liability for decades.
She was in the military and they couldn't find out????
Once you are discharged, they don't give a hoot in hell where you go as long as you are out of their hair.
Which is why it is a shame that law enforcement's abuse of such information is keeping people from opting in to these data bases.
Well, let's see the photo! One of us might be able to identify her!!
Exactly.
@Chris Tombs He said he didn't know who she was. Are you confused?
Rest in Peace Tamara, thank God for this Man and his contacts. Now you are known and hopefully can rest. Thank you to all who worked to solve her identity. And Tamara, THANK YOU for your service. You are not forgotten.
Warm Presentation , the way he included the whole team.
This was January 2020. Any progress? The killer may still be alive. Anyone know?
Que triste que su familia haya fallecido sin saber que pasó con su hija, pero que bueno que la pudieron reconocer después de tantos años! Rest In Peace, Tamara.🥺💜
Ms. Fitzpatrick is the BEST!! she has helped so many people.
"I actually have a few people to talk to.". Glorious. 🙂
Thank you for bringing our Sister Home may she RIP. May God Bless all of your team with many more homecomings.
All we're given in life is our name, I'm grateful to this man and the others who gave her name back in death.
Just finished a Robin Cook novel that dealt with this very topic: genetic genealogy.
