The Royal Rumble for both will be very interesting
My picks outside of the Rumble matches are:
- Becky Lynch
- Edge & Beth Phoenix
- Roman Reigns
- Bobby Lashley
For the Woman's Royal Rumble my process of selection was: There are only 7 woman that WWE cares about: the 4 Horsewoman + Ronda Rousey + Alexa Bliss + Bianca Belair. So in my eyes, nobody else has a chance. 2 of the 4 Horsewoman are champions and the other 2 are supposedly injured and out of the match so my 3 places are easy to pick. Ronda Rousey 1st, Alexa Bliss 2nd and Bianca Belair 3rd. Bayley would be my 4th pick in case she's good to go.
For the Men's Royal Rumble there isn't exactly an obvious choice. That's why my money is on Lesnar to enter the Rumble after being cheated out of the title early on and win it all. I'm going with AJ Styles at #2 and Big E as my number 3 pick. I'm picking Big E just because he is the betting odds favorite right now to win it because I honestly don't believe he's winning. I would be shocked after everything WWE did to him during his title reign and the way he was treated as a joke that now they have changed their minds and want to make him a credible superstar. Him being the guy who took the pin from Lesnar at Day 1 really showed me what they thought of Big E as a champion. An out of the box pick would be Omos, the guy is being booked really strong and he is going to be a monster in the Rumble.

The reason for the Rumble being on a Saturday, this year and possibly every year in the future is that the NFL added on week to their regular season pushing the playoff weeks one week further into the future. Back in previous years, the NFL would have their ProBowl, a meaningless All-Star game, during this week. It would air during the late afternoon and WWE wasn't opposed at all. That is now the first Sunday in February. Had they kept it to the last Sunday of January, they would be up against the last Conference Championship Game of the night. The two Conference Championship Game winners meet in the Superbowl. WWE would lose many live viewers against the second or third most important NFL Playoff game of the year.
