nothing to be excited about as thousands of landlords will be forced to sell their properties as they can't cope with high interest rates, Section 24, Section 21, EPC shite etc .This will create a massive shortage of rental properties with immigration at all time high, where are all these people going to live. Its a time ticking bomb. Its a complete disaster. Landlords should not be used as scapegoats for the government's total failure to provide affordable houses. Government not building new homes to cater for the growing population. Margaret Thatcher sold loads of council houses to private landlords. Not enough rental supplies on the market will further push up Rents . That's good news for the landlords and bad news for the house hunters. This bill, if approved will be just a total joke !
This is cool as one can not be paying much and not get value for it. Zero renovation and sometimes you wonder how the rent been paid is actually calculated. Looking forward to more protection for tenants as well as also give landlord ability to protect their properties from unsafe tenants
What if i want to break a contract after 6 month. When i ask agent they said i need to pay the rent when they get a new tenant which i cant. I am moving because our house have too much energy taking monthly bill arround 700 pound which i cant affort. House EPC rate is E. I am new to this country. Is it anyone can help us ?
