I think one of the best parts about DRS is that it's absolutely possible to make a boss-song at only 140 BPM and with pretty standard 4/4 rhythms. Hardcore in rhythm games is all well and good, but it's kind of exhausting when your only options with challenging charts are entirely, like, >200 BPM hardcore with variable time signatures and 48th-note rolls and all the bells and whistles.
