I just get annoyed by all the Sketchers naming conventions. I actually accidentally bought these shoes instead of the Speed Elite Hyper because these are also named Speed 6 Hyper.
This shoe changed names like 3 times before they official released it lol I think they might just need to do a revamp the names. Maybe just gorun, goRide' GoSpeed, GoJog...GoHome

FACTS!
I've been on the sketchers wave with u J. Wore the Run8 in a half the other day. Felt great on my feet, (which I've had issues w) Only problem I had , which I didn't anticipate, was a lower drop ,compared to my Nikes. Calves and hamstrings were a little surprised towards the end of the race. Lesson learned. And love the sketchers line, razor 3 , go meb, and now the run8. Thanks

Ya, half size up worked great. Shoe is light and fast. Probably going to race Philadelphia marathon in them next weekend.I actually ripped insoles out and put some VKTRY carbon insoles in them. Amazing. They are nice and snug around ankle.
I usually use Nike LT size 12.5. 13 in these, perfect and feel better for longer stuff
I'm def excited to see what these are about. My last mebs were so light they were like clouds

I don't like how similar the lineup is.
Between the Razor 3, the Speed Elite Hyper, and the Gomeb Speed 6 Hyper, which has the most cushioning? The least?

So are these basically just a lighter razor 3? Their stack heights are the same in the specs so should be just as cushioned right?
Speed 6 is firmer and lighter. It's a design with racing in mind, whereas the razor is a hybrid of racing/training

Happy birthday! And also did you know anything about the Zante replacement? The tempo? Tempo racer? I’ve seen the Zante pursuit as low as 80-90 dollars. I’ve heard next month but I’m not sure
For me the Good Year Sole looks like gonna last longer than the Continental on ADIDAS side, and Hyper Boost is great.

Hey Jamie, I've been considering the Skecher's XCR to buy (even though the spike looks better, but in Australia, there aren't many pure XC courses) My main concern was the width of the shoe and as I cannot try the shoe on in stores as it's not available here I was wondering how it compares in terms of width to some of the shoes I've had. Adios 4, Takumi Sen 5, Saucony A8, Adidas Sub2, Hoka One One Evo Speed R. I know some of these shoes are racing flats so they're designed to be a little wider, but It would be nice to have a little reference. Thanks love your reviews!
BEWARE THE SIZING! Skechers is all over the place with US sizing, but the Euro sizing seems consistent. Get your normal Euro size and forget what it says the US size is. For example, I just got a pair of GoMeb6 in US10, but the label also says Euro43. (Normally US10 is Euro44) AND my pair of MaxRoad4 say US10 and Euro43.5 on the label. I'll be wearing very thin or no socks with the GoMebs, so they fit, and I have to wear thin socks with the MaxRoad4 so they WILL fit (I ordered online, didn't try them on). Odd that Skechers, a US company, is only consistent with their Euro sizing and not US sizing.

I have a pair of 13's in this shoe. Feels snug like a track shoe. I wish they had 13.5's, but for a 5K, the sizing will not be a problem.

Liked the shoe, I didn’t like the fit; a half size up was too shallow and a full size felt too big in the toe box for a race shoe.

I fly in them, I know it's me & my 3mm drop Pebax grippy flat, NOT a carbon plate puffed up marshmallow monster stack height any % shoe.

What I find amazing is how much flak - justifiably - Skechers have copped over the years for their copying/ripping off of other companies lifestyle designs. It has cheapened the brand...and yet, their performance real running shoes are innovative, unique and the way they work in the real world is without question absolutely Tier 1: it's like two different design teams with different philosophies and really nothing in common just sharing the same brand name.
No matter how original you try to make a shoe, it will always remind someone of a different shoe.
Meg is cool but wanted YG though? 🙄
