    I will probably never understand the laws towards murderers ... he tortured her, raped her, attempted to murder her, and left her in a coma. But he could only be charged for "molesting a child" ...and he was out on the street again? the world has been sick for decades!

    parents willing to have this happen to another child bc they dont want their child to testify. "It would be too traumatic." U know whats traumatic? Him getting set free and doing the same to someone elses child. How selfish to only care about ur own child.

    • @sugarcat1997
      @sugarcat1997 3 роки тому +10

      That's what parents do. In a way, parents see that its their job to put their kids before other kids, since its their child, the one they are raising and love. I mean yes, I find it annoying and frustrating to not allow their child to testify to help put a way a criminal, but it usually is in an attempt to protect their child from reliving traumatic experiences. And being in Court can be scary for anyone, let alone child, who would have to basically face the monster that hurt them and basically talk about what happened to them in front of a lot of strangers. Don't get me wrong, I hate it when parents don't let kids testify, but I'm not going through what those families go through, so I can't judge them too harshly. I like to think that, most of the time, they really do believe they are trying to help their kids and don't mean to give the criminal a chance to go free.

    • @sandilou2U
      @sandilou2U 3 роки тому +19

      Instead of faulting parents who's sole priority is protecting their child after experiencing the greatest traumatic experience, fault our failed court system for forcing such a burden on a victimized child and the disgraceful defense attorneys who have no reservations about furthering the damage of a child's trauma for financial gain. No child should have the pressure of being responsible for the potential crimes of a monster and no parent should be have the pressure of making their child testify, compromising their child's well being, in order to appease a prosecuting attorney, making their job easier.

    So they have the police report and witness statement, of finding the girl bashed and unconscious laying in a pool of blood in, ALCALA's HOUSE... he was eye-witnessed actually DRIVING HER THERE!!!! The girl is in a coma for weeks and almost dies!!!! But because her family chose to stay in Mexico... it's as if it didn't happen at all!!! All he could be charged with, was 'child molestation'... he got a cosy plea deal. Yeah... makes a lot of sense hey? It's almost as though the law is bent towards getting these guys off as soon as possible, so they can get on with pursuing their murderous killing sprees. The world is fucking crazy. Where's the common sense in ridiculous laws like these?
