For a cheap CRT TV check local estate sales, there may even be an online auction style site for your area. The site for my area has auctions that start at $1 and people rarely bid on heavy/bulky items. I just got a TV stand last week for $1, a treadmill, VHS cabinet, and have gotten a few VCRs.

A great movie haul. The Umbrella ones are fantastic, of course. (BTW The Raid is Indonesian, not Japanese). Secretary is a great choice for Imprint, too, and all their blu-ray releases are region-free.

Great haul. I loved both Rambling Rose and Secretary. I've heard Saw X was a return to form. Looking forward to seeing it, especially after the disappointment of Spiral.

Hi Stephanie! Really interesting haul video. I have some of the same titles that you picked up, but you always manage to show me movies I didn't hear about. Last Stop in Yuma County has me interested, as does Icons with The Simpsons. I was a big fan from the beginning, and there are so many quotable lines from the cartoons. My friends and I have had many laughs with that show. I am kind of bummed that Back To Black wasn't as good as I had hoped. I also loved the A24 bluray, Amy, and wasn't sure if the Hollywood version would be as true. I will still check it out, because I am a fan of her music. As for Boy Kills World, I grabbed that after watching the trailer. It looks kind of campy and fun. I love action/martial arts stuff, and I love the Skarsgards, especially Bill. I am so looking forward to his portrayal of Nosferatu this December!! Thank you for posting your haul. I will be looking forward to your movie room tour as well. I think Last Stop In Yuma County is an underrated little gem of a movie that a lot of people will skip over. I heard nothing about it until I noticed it while flipping through the streaming screens. I actually just watched it again and still really enjoyed it. It's quirky fun. You'll enjoy the Icon series if you like behind the scenes things. I love all that stuff so I'm enjoying it. I was bummed about Back To Black, too but not at all surprised. It did exactly what Hollywood loves to do and cleaned everything up- for the most part. Especially with that awful father of hers. Ugh. I just passed on Wind River, a movie I love, because the retail price was $42 before taxes and shipping. I have it on Blu-ray so that's going to have to be enough. July is my birthday month so I did have some gift cards but I'm probably tapping out on a lot of the Steelbooks for the same reason. Unless I get some review copies, which might happen. 🤞🤞 I think I need to give Civil War another chance. You nailed it when you mentioned how you felt about Contagion during lockdown. Winding down for the evening with a new haul, awesome! Oddly enough Challengers is in my top movies of the year! Could have been that I caught it in the theater though. Twister was a first time watch for me this year, what a fun time! Looking forward to the updated room tour! 😊
Hi friend. You know, I really need to give Challengers another go. I have so much on my head right now, it's tough to concentrate. When I sit down to watch a movie, I'm out. 😂😂😂 I thought it started out strong but then it felt too long in the second half, if that makes any sense. But I'm hanging on to it for a future rewatch because I always give things at least two or three full watches before I give up on them. I can't wait to have the room finished and do the tour. Great pickups!!! I think The Third Murder is fantastic! It’s part murder mystery and part courtroom drama. Dark and brilliant. I also loved The World of Kanako. It’s nasty, offensive, nihilistic and depressing. Koji Yakusho is so good.

Great video! I love the Saw X steelbook i was able to grab the only copy at my local Walmart. Those Texas Chain Saw Massacre VHS tapes are awesome, I really want to get into collecting Horror movies on VHS. I’ve always wondered about review copies, do you have to contact the studio through their website to receive them?
Hi friend and thank you. The Saw X was one of the best Steelbooks I've seen since Best Buy got out of the game. Horror VHS are fun to collect and typically easy to find. Just check them for mold when you buy them. If it's there, you can see it right on the tape. Review copies are a pain in the neck. You have to be a pretty big channel these days with a lot of views. Also, studios are cutting back with their physical releases so they don't have as many review copies to send out. I only deal with Paramount and Warner Bros because they're really easy to work with. I also don't want the channel to get bogged down with review content that no one really wants to watch. That's why I don't really go after too many things. Maybe one day if my channel gets a little bigger then I'll try to contact more studios and see what I can get. Thanks so much for watching. 😊

I just got that Spirited Away steelbook that you have behind you during the buy 3 for the price of 2 sale. I just got them in the mail yesterday so I'm looking forward to watching it again. I saw it just a few months ago for the first time and loved it. Wednesday season one and True Lies on 4K were the other two i got in that order. I haven't seen The Boy and the Heron yet either but I'm looking forward to seeing it sometime. I have the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre on video too, but not that edition. I think that might be an older version than i have. I've gotten rid of some vhs tapes but I'm keeping that one. The original is maybe my favorite horror movie, but i do like that remake a lot.
Hi friend. I'm happy you were able to grab a few things you wanted at the recent sales. They had some really good deals. I got a few more Studio Ghibli titles I needed. Have you seen, Perfect Blue?? I don't think it's a Studio Ghibli but it's anime. Starts out super annoying but by the end, it's so good. Very dark. I love Texas Chainsaw both the OG and the remake. The franchise itself is all over the place but there are a few gems in there. After the original, opinions are all over the place and I get it. @MovieChatter01 I have seen Perfect Blue. I went to a special screening of it a few years ago. Maybe it was for its 20th anniversary. I didn't know much, if anything, about it but I decided to check it out. I enjoyed it. I watched through all of the Chainsaw movies last year, and all of them after the 2003 remake were first time watches for me. I enjoyed them to varying degrees

Saw x was the first one in the cinema to be honest, the others I watched during lockdown as I was clearing back log of franchises that I hadn’t watched before. To be fair I quite enjoy going into movies as blind as possible. I’ve been buying lately also. I recently got the Jack Ryan 5 film collection on 4K, The Firm 4K, Tess blu ray on Criterion (got a good deal on eBay), and The Wonder Years full series on DVD. As soon as Risky Business comes out, I will be doing a Barnes and Noble order of it and Wall-E, Downhill Racer, To Die For, and upgrade Dazed and Confused to 4K.

Hi friend. I've never seen the 50 Shades movies. I saw Secretary for the first time because it was on in the place where I was getting a haircut, which was funny at the time. I really found the dynamics of their relationship interesting. The physical part is basic vanilla but the psychological aspect was interesting to me. Hi friend. I can't say you're wrong with that. Those middle ones were where things really felt stale. I've always been a fan of Saw - even the bad ones 😂😂😂 But I do think it suffered from the same setbacks all the bigger franchisees do. Halloween, Friday The 13th, etc. They get formulaic at times and even silly. I like the idea of the trilogy and then the refresh at X. I've been saying that I think Scream should have ended at 3 as well. It's been feeling stale for quite some time and a trilogy would have been perfect. I got saw X from library but saw 1 was in the case so that was weird I thought it was a flashback but when they got me the correct one I did not know what was going on like the others but I think nothing happens

I didn't realize that Simpson's one was a doc/behind the scenes. Loved The Simpson's growing up. Monkey Man was good. I'm like you when it comes to martial arts. I just streamed Back To Black. I wasn't familiar with her music, other than Rehab, but felt like the film lacked more of her story. Not enough background & didn't care for how it ended. The actress that portrays Amy was fantastic though. The Saw X steelbook is gorgeous. I never got into Cry Baby. I need to give it another go. Great pivkups Stephanie! Hey Miranda. I'd say watch the A24 documentary, Amy. It's so real, tragic but you definitely get a sense of who she was and why she spiraled the way she did. I really thought the biopic would leave out all the heavy topics because they wanted to focus on entertaining. Her story, sad as it is, needs to be told. That documentary is amazing. I like John Waters because he's so bizarre so I'm thinking maybe that's why I'm ok with Cry Baby. The Simpsons has been around for more like 35 years The Raid one and two are some of my favourite action films in my collection 🤜 Monkey Man is awesome, saw it twice in theatres and got it on physical I’ve ordered way too much stuff in the last little while 😊 A Taxi Driver (Korean masterpiece) Hard Target Boss Level Murder Party Ronin Circle A Better Tomorrow Reservoir Dogs Nefarious Pain and Glory Perfect Days (Criterion) Definitely going to check out Yuma County and Kanako! Love Koji Yakusho especially in the previously mentioned Perfect Days as well as Cure and 13 Assassins 🇯🇵 He also did a Criterion closet video just yesterday

Hi friend. You know, I really need to give Challengers another go. I have so much on my head right now, it's tough to concentrate. When I sit down to watch a movie, I'm out. 😂😂😂 I thought it started out strong but then it felt too long in the second half, if that makes any sense. But I'm hanging on to it for a future rewatch because I always give things at least two or three full watches before I give up on them.
I can't wait to have the room finished and do the tour. It would have been done a month ago if I had someone else to put all the new shelves together. 😂😂

Great pickups!!! I think The Third Murder is fantastic! It’s part murder mystery and part courtroom drama. Dark and brilliant. I also loved The World of Kanako. It’s nasty, offensive, nihilistic and depressing. Koji Yakusho is so good.

Those Texas Chain Saw Massacre VHS tapes are awesome, I really want to get into collecting Horror movies on VHS.
I’ve always wondered about review copies, do you have to contact the studio through their website to receive them?
Hi friend and thank you. The Saw X was one of the best Steelbooks I've seen since Best Buy got out of the game.
Horror VHS are fun to collect and typically easy to find. Just check them for mold when you buy them. If it's there, you can see it right on the tape.
Review copies are a pain in the neck. You have to be a pretty big channel these days with a lot of views. Also, studios are cutting back with their physical releases so they don't have as many review copies to send out. I only deal with Paramount and Warner Bros because they're really easy to work with. I also don't want the channel to get bogged down with review content that no one really wants to watch. That's why I don't really go after too many things.
Maybe one day if my channel gets a little bigger then I'll try to contact more studios and see what I can get.

I just got that Spirited Away steelbook that you have behind you during the buy 3 for the price of 2 sale. I just got them in the mail yesterday so I'm looking forward to watching it again. I saw it just a few months ago for the first time and loved it. Wednesday season one and True Lies on 4K were the other two i got in that order.
I haven't seen The Boy and the Heron yet either but I'm looking forward to seeing it sometime.
I have the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre on video too, but not that edition. I think that might be an older version than i have. I've gotten rid of some vhs tapes but I'm keeping that one. The original is maybe my favorite horror movie, but i do like that remake a lot.
Hi friend. I'm happy you were able to grab a few things you wanted at the recent sales. They had some really good deals. I got a few more Studio Ghibli titles I needed. Have you seen, Perfect Blue?? I don't think it's a Studio Ghibli but it's anime. Starts out super annoying but by the end, it's so good. Very dark.
I love Texas Chainsaw both the OG and the remake. The franchise itself is all over the place but there are a few gems in there. After the original, opinions are all over the place and I get it. Very hard to figure out what the heck they were trying to do. I just sit back and watch. 😂😂

@MovieChatter01 I have seen Perfect Blue. I went to a special screening of it a few years ago. Maybe it was for its 20th anniversary. I didn't know much, if anything, about it but I decided to check it out. I enjoyed it.
I watched through all of the Chainsaw movies last year, and all of them after the 2003 remake were first time watches for me. I enjoyed them to varying degrees

Saw x was the first one in the cinema to be honest, the others I watched during lockdown as I was clearing back log of franchises that I hadn’t watched before.
To be fair I quite enjoy going into movies as blind as possible. If I can avoid the trailer then great but if by chance I do see the trailer, I’ll try go in with an open mind or try to forget what I saw. 😅😂👋🏻👍🏻

I’ve been buying lately also. I recently got the Jack Ryan 5 film collection on 4K, The Firm 4K, Tess blu ray on Criterion (got a good deal on eBay), and The Wonder Years full series on DVD. As soon as Risky Business comes out, I will be doing a Barnes and Noble order of it and Wall-E, Downhill Racer, To Die For, and upgrade Dazed and Confused to 4K.

Hi friend. I've never seen the 50 Shades movies. I saw Secretary for the first time because it was on in the place where I was getting a haircut, which was funny at the time. I really found the dynamics of their relationship interesting. The physical part is basic vanilla but the psychological aspect was interesting to me. I just have to word things carefully here because they monitor everything so I tread lightly.

Hi friend. I can't say you're wrong with that. Those middle ones were where things really felt stale. I've always been a fan of Saw - even the bad ones 😂😂😂 But I do think it suffered from the same setbacks all the bigger franchisees do. Halloween, Friday The 13th, etc. They get formulaic at times and even silly. I like the idea of the trilogy and then the refresh at X.
I've been saying that I think Scream should have ended at 3 as well. It's been feeling stale for quite some time and a trilogy would have been perfect. They can always do additional trilogies or whatever down the road.

I got saw X from library but saw 1 was in the case so that was weird I thought it was a flashback but when they got me the correct one I did not know what was going on like the others but I think nothing happens

I'm still a bit confused about that but I did like the writing and I feel like it went back towards the original tone and backed off from things like Spiral. I guess we'll see where it goes.

I didn't realize that Simpson's one was a doc/behind the scenes. Loved The Simpson's growing up. Monkey Man was good. I'm like you when it comes to martial arts. I just streamed Back To Black. I wasn't familiar with her music, other than Rehab, but felt like the film lacked more of her story. Not enough background & didn't care for how it ended. The actress that portrays Amy was fantastic though. The Saw X steelbook is gorgeous. I never got into Cry Baby. I need to give it another go. Great pivkups Stephanie! Definitely added several to my list.
Hey Miranda. I'd say watch the A24 documentary, Amy. It's so real, tragic but you definitely get a sense of who she was and why she spiraled the way she did. I really thought the biopic would leave out all the heavy topics because they wanted to focus on entertaining. Her story, sad as it is, needs to be told. That documentary is amazing.
I like John Waters because he's so bizarre so I'm thinking maybe that's why I'm ok with Cry Baby. It took a lot of people to get me to give it a chance though. 😂😂😂
