I remember riding in the car through the city with this song on full volume, looking up at all the colors and city lights. That time period was so bittersweet.

He’s doing alright but she’s stuck in a bad place. She tries her hardest in relationships but it never works out for her. the song is about self harm, coping, and trauma that repeats itself.her struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts i honestly can be mistaken but thats what i took from it aswell as a few others i have seen also said the same thing.
