That's gorgeous, and the quilting makes such a difference! I'm a novice quilter. Piecing doesn't bother me, but the prospect of quilting is quite daunting.
The center of the quilt blocks (where they were tied) look like that deeper pink was done on purpose. Sometimes things just work out for the best. Great video. You gave me some ideas for a vintage Dresden Plate that I am currently working on. Thank You.
My favorite design is the Dresden Plate quilt and I have some quilt tops already made and I have learned how to quilt mine by your great instructions. Thank you.
I’m using my collection of 30 reproduction prints. A 6” Dresden plate is what I’m making. I think I will let them float on the Kona snow very light blush block no stashing. It’s fun to be creative. Do you quilt for others?
Beautiful colors in the quilt love pinks , u do such great work on the quilting . When u buy old quilts around how much does one expect to pay for them.???
Thank you Dora. The cost of the tops depends on where I purchase them, their size, and vintage. I'm pretty particular about what I buy. The top has to be in good enough shape to hold up to machine quilting, and the quilt top has to "speak to me". So far I have seen tops selling as low as $25 and as much as $150.
Beautiful work, thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊

Beautiful. I’ll have to make one similar. Thank you
I love to watch you quilt! Thank you for sharing this. Love your feathers. You make it look so easy which I know it is not!
Thanks Phyllis. Feathers are my favorite quilting design, so I quilt them a lot and all the practice helps.
what you did to the plate was exactly what I liked the best. But my favorite is the rounded off plate. It is what I grew up with.

That sounds beautiful. No, I no longer quilt for others. I did for years, though.
