SAIYN Seminar SE 2: Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision in Agricultural Application

Mr. Md. Towfiqur Rahman, Graduate Research Assistant, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE, USA, delivered an adept presentation on the basics of machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence. He also demonstrated how image processing is done and how data is collected for further analysis. A segment of the presentation concentrated on Precision Livestock Farming (PLF), its aims and its challenges.
The National Advisors of SAIYN, Professor Dr. Chayan Kumer Saha, Dept. of Farm Power and Machinery, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Professor Dr. Rostom Ali, Dept. of Farm Power and Machinery, Bangladesh Agricultural University, and Dr. Md. Ayub Hossain, Director (Retired-Training and Communication), Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, were present during the seminar and provided their valuable insights. Mr. Md. Abu Yousuf Prodhan Babor, Chief Coordinator of SAIYN moderated the event.
