Excellent and didactic presentation Léon van Berlo. I follow with enthusiasm the progress of the buildingSMART International team on Brazilian soil. Furthermore, I continue to follow and contribute to the airport room. Regards!
Amazing video Leon, thank you very much! At the beginning when you highlight the importance of open standards, how I like to make this argument very clear: you should not need to have to pay, to be able to access your data or to archive it.
Thank you very much for this syntetic but complete video. I 'm definitely looking forward to the OpenCDE subject and already diving into the IDS both for requirement and validation.👐
Nice video Leon. I'd like to see future videos on the software certification program and would love to see infrastructure examples to understand better the relationship between the standards. Thank you for sharing.
Does IFC support fabrication details? For example if I am making a timber frame with certain joinery, and certain grooves in the beams for MEP services, and a certain type of connector for the column to the concrete. How can I go from IFC to CNC-BTL format ? Thank you. I am learning a lot from your videos.
I suggest you can address to your closest bSI local chapter on that regard. There are different developments that might be of interest for you, such as the IFC Precast Production Standards or the bSI Steel Construction Fabrication Detailed Project.
@@DDVsolutions Thank you so much for your response. I am based in Canada and will find out about pre-cast standard. (On a side note ... is there any standard or language that allows me to specify on-site panel assembly sequencing? ).

Amen😁
I agree with BIMvoice, I hope 'Open' means Open to all regardless of the wealth or geographical location.

Amazing video and great summary of the full scope of OpenBIM!

Great explanation! Let's all team up, and cooperate on making digitization work!
Good video! Feel lik a mic would not hurt though, i had to turn up the volume a lot and so did the noise.
