I think I know how the currency in Lolliland works: The sweeter the lollipop, the more it is worth. Edit: If he paid in spearmint, I would presume that would be $15 if it was exchanged into USD. So, the two spearmint that he paid amounts to $30. I would think that root beer is supposed to be $25 if it were to be exchanged. In one of the episodes of Regular Show, he says that butterscotch ripple is worth $100. So, the total amount he paid would be $155 in USD. So, Pops was right when he said the sum was ample.

Logan Miller yea, and this type of stuff that they showed in the finale was so satisfying it's crazy that Regular Show pulled off such an amazing ending. this was better than Gravity Falls and while that's great for this show, man i feel sorry for the creator of Gravity Falls because that show had so much expectations but the ending was so flat where as Regular show they barely had any huge expectations to hype over and so quickly they made probably one of the best endings in animation history... kudos to them that was just amazing
The animation is beautiful, specifically 1:43 - 1:55 where Quintel's animated with great use of arcing motions and motion blurs with the lollipop gestures. Some nice rebounds in the spacing also accentuate the power behind Pop's fast gestures. Pop's face has been animated with a nice angle and tilts quite well at the end of this little segment to demonstrate amazing depth and secondary motion to the gestures. Scenes like this were animated rather beautifully.

I knew I wasn't crazy. I saw a short with pops in it years before regular show came out. I wanna say it was around 14 years ago. Adult swim had this contest with lots of different shorts by different people all drawn in this storyboard style. I believe it was viewers who submitted and whoever was picked as the best would get to make a show. It lasted for hours and honestly it was incredibly boring. There was no music and all the plots for the shorts were dumb but I always remembered this sketched version of pops paying with lollipops.

Adult swim had this contest with lots of different shorts by different people all drawn in this storyboard style. I believe it was viewers who submitted and whoever was picked as the best would get to make a show. It lasted for hours and honestly it was incredibly boring. There was no music and all the plots for the shorts were dumb but I always remembered this sketched version of pops paying with lollipops.
Notice how in 0:29, where Regular Show references this, they have Pops talking over it because they don't want children to know about what JG did.

TBH, I wouldn't mind being paid in candy, especially from someone as sweet and innocent as Pops.
I love how this played in the final battle.

I like this calmer and quieter pops
