Plot The story follows Ken Kaneki, a student who barely survives a deadly encounter with Rize Kamishiro, his date who reveals herself as a ghoul and tries to eat him. He is taken to the hospital in critical condition. After recovering, Kaneki discovers that he underwent a surgery that transformed him into a half-ghoul. This was accomplished because some of Rize's organs were transferred into his body, and now, like normal ghouls, he must consume human flesh to survive. Ghouls who run a coffee shop called "Anteiku" (あんていく) take him in and teach him to deal with his new life as a half-ghoul. Some of his daily struggles include fitting into the ghoul society, as well as keeping his identity hidden from his human companions, especially from his best friend, Hideyoshi Nagachika. The prequel series Tokyo Ghoul [Jack] follows the youths of Kishō Arima and Taishi Fura, two characters from the main series who become acquainted when they join forces to investigate the death of Taishi's friend at the hands of a ghoul, leading to Taishi eventually following Arima's path and joining the CCG (Commission of Counter Ghoul), the federal agency tasked into dealing with crimes related to ghouls as well. The sequel series Tokyo Ghoul:re follows an amnesiac Kaneki under the new identity of Haise Sasaki (the result of horrific brain damage sustained from Kishō Arima). He is the mentor of a special team of CCG investigators called "Quinx Squad" that underwent a similar procedure as his, allowing them to obtain the special abilities of Ghouls in order to fight them but still being able to live as normal humans.

You absolutely will, season 1 of the anime is a decent animation tho it's not as well paced as the manga and does remove some things, after that the story is entirely changed in the anime to what you get in the manga, the manga also really does have incredible art that really sets the tone of the world much more than the anime could with its rather generic art style

Hell, I'm pretty sure this is copied from someone else's comment, same grammar and everything
Thank you for providing great music! So lucky to find such a great channel
When the story and concept is soo great that even with poor execution in anime, it leaves a mark as one of the legends.
Wish for a proper remake.
Omg this is gorgeous.

Hmmm.

Man, you're pumping these out fast, especially when this one was a request on the last video. It's crazy how fast you're uploading these & it still sounds amazing!
Keep it up! 😁👍 (P.s. you should cover Katharsis)
Oh gosh..I just want to say that your cover is so emotionally beautiful, seriously started to tear up in in the beginning
>w< ❤ new subscriber✨
Praise the Lord, I'm so glad I found your channel!!
This ANIME has inspiring me so much. That I feel I can achieve anything in my lifetime. I've no fear of loosing everything either death or my dreams becoming reality, that's all that matters!
I’ve heard that song many times and every time I am just left speechless with goosebumps
Move forward like centipede ‼️
A MASTERPIECE SHOW
oh my god, i missing tokyo ghoul, it's was amazing anime really, I still love it
Everyday I mourn on the low-quality anime adaptation we had for this masterpiece. Yet, the music never disappointed me. Thank you Mr Yamada and thank you Samuel for this brilliant cover.
This makes me want to read the manga. I feel like I’m going to get a huge different feeling from manga instead of what the anime gave.
The manga is an absolute fucking masterpiece miles away from the anime.... Until the ending that ruins everything and is complete garbage
@Shalvi Bhatnagar Nah I didn't, after his burn out with TG you never know if it's gonna happen so I'm not willing to risk it
just had this come onto my recommended and I really wish that tokyo ghoul could get a remake, they really messed up in parts when making the anime but I still love the idea of it and after I read the manga a few years later I realised that it could have been so much more amazing.
*everyone talks about MANGA BUT I LOVE THIS ANIME SO MUCH*
Your music has the ability to evoke emotions like no other. It has the power to bring tears to our eyes, make our hearts race, and ignite a fire within our souls. It connects us on a profound level, reminding us of our shared humanity and the universal language of music.
Feels like the song at the end of a great game as the credits are shown
OMG! Sam! My man! Brought back the Seasons 1 masterpiece of them masterpiece tracks which made Toky Ghoul EPIC! Back then!
This sounds soo good, even 1000x better. I'm in tears. When the rising violin is starting to climb that part is when I start to get them chills!
SAMUEL KIM, siempre toca los mejores temazos indiscutiblemente.. ❤️🔥🔥🔥
PF: Kaneki-Ken ❤️
❤❤❤
Mejor es la Touka
I really wish Tokyo ghoul had been my first anime, as I love it so much. However I don’t ever regret watching it, i loved the story so much. I even read the manga, 10/10
I felt like Tokyo Ghoul didn't exactly know what it wanted to be after season 1, but the music was top tier from start to finish.
the manga is GOATED tho
Thank you very much for this excellent musical selection, really inspiring, I loved it
"In this life we lose some things, but still keep on living and keep on fighting"
Super excited
I hope one day you do covers of the studio Ghibli films. While not as openly tragic and dark as Tokyo ghoul (for the most part) the soundtracks are very immersive, emotional and touching
this anime changed and touched something inside me i cant explain or really know...listening to this soundtrack brings up a weird set of emotions so pleasant
Is anyone here a fan of Divide Music?
Should Samuel collab with him? Their styles are diffrent, but they both make some epic anime music!
The world isn’t ready for that incredible collab
Everything you put out, literally EVERYTHING is so amazing!!
Thanks for you music. btw. Where do you get the artworks from? Do you make them by yourself?
Dude Tokyo ghoul is perfect anime
Say whatchu want about the show, but damn did the soundtrack slap 😭💯
Much agreed 😭💯
1:36 is the best part
Imagine of Tokyo Ghoul is remaked by mappa or wit...? With the canon manga content...
Dude just stop, Licht and Schatten was already epic. Adding Samuel Kim was just to much overkill. The world wasn't ready for such epicness.
Wtf I just realized it's been almost 10 yrs since I had first started reading the manga when it was still ongoing. Like what. Anyway, this ost is aways v beautiful even tho the anime was lacking.

Please.. I beg you... Read the manga.. for those who haven't read.
*I LOVE THIS ANIME SO MUCH*
Kaneki: Hated ghouls but became one.
Eren: Hated titans but became one.
Light .y: Hated killers but became one.
Sameuel never disappoints us... ♥️♥️
I didn't like the timeskip between s2 and s3,
and i didn't like the ending,
but i liked the start...
I liked the idea...
I liked the story...
I loved kaneki's look so much...
I liked the OST.
Go read the best manga of all time.
Bruh how can you be a fan for 10 years and still haven't read the manga (is that grammatically correct? Idk). The anime sucks ass, especially s2 and 3 (first one is good). The manga is a literal masterpiece smh
The anime did the manga dirty😭😭 they skipped the 300 chapters LOL
omg finally , i was waiting for thiisssssssssssssssssssss
CAN WE GET SOMETHING KATHARSIS RELATED?? I feel like that song gets no love in terms of covers, epic versions, etc :/
I totally agree!
Katharsis needs more love!!! Please do something with it! It is such a great song!!!!
OMGGGGGGGGG, you did it!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
I read the manga while listening to the soundtracks, the ultimate duo!
Finally, this is gonna be dope
I never knew that I needed this so badly till I heard it 😩 I swear I could do crazy stuff listening to it bc this was the most thrilling yet so emotional like I never existed but still feel so alive
Licht und Schatten is a classic tune my guy ! Well done!
