To me, the interpretation of the music video is this:
A man is depressed in the world and body he lives in. So his soul travels around the earth and through history to find peace and joy. He realizes that the world is full of death and destruction and so meets the devil who then tells him he will take the man's soul to a eutopic paradise. The man agrees and lets the devil take him to this eutopic paradise in a different world. When the man arrives he realizes that this "perfect place" is actually an artificially created hell where no one else exists and everything is fake (because a perfect artificial eutopic world does not actually exists). And so the mans soul runs to the edge of this hell and jumps off into the space time continuum to then rejoin his body. The moral of the story is to be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. Be careful searching for paradise because what you think is paradise might actually be hell in the end.

@@boeingdriver7375 well, yes and no. If it's your interpretation of the message, then cool, I'm all for it, but I also have my own interpretation and so do others, it's subjective. I was just commenting on how I've seen the exact same thing on other videos, as if it was copied and pasted all over the place. I was just making an observation.
Part of understanding this song requires a very quick Google search of Douglas Harding. He served in the first world war and became a philosopher of sorts. He crafted this idea that he was "a man without a head" (line from the song) and the people who understood and followed his ideas he dubbed people who could see. ("I see" line)
Quickly described he was searching for an answer to the question of who or what he really was. He decided to draw himself and realized without a mirror he would only be able to draw his torso, arms and legs, thus being a man without a head. He realized that what he saw in the mirror that was his face was only his own projection of what he thought he looked like. After all, we both know what red is because we were taught as kids, but I can for sure say what I see is red is what everyone else sees as red.
Therefore he decided that what he was really was what he saw in the world. If I look at someone and they are sad then I am actually sad, and if I look at the sun, then I am the sun. ( Back to the lyrics: I'm a god, I'm alive, I'm the dead, I'm the man without a head, etc.)
Now these ideas of harding essentially say that we all as people function much like individual cells on a human body. if you look up close you see one cell doing one job but when you pull back you see a whole person.
And considering all that the video shows society building, burning, destroying each other and their own creations. Our main skeleton is the only one who moves. He is the man without a head. He can see the layers of the fabric of our society that are frozen around him.
I'm not as sure about the end but I believe the last sequence represents that people need to wake up. They have become too materialistic, everyone thinks they are morally superior. And by doing these things they are trying to buy their way in to whatever sort of "heaven" they believe in. But in reality we can't and so the skeleton returns to his body telling us as viewers that perhaps if we saw a little bit of ourselves in the world it would become a better place.
