The shrine in the cliffs and waterfall hiking in Nichinan in Miyazaki, Japan

The first in a series of short videos about my trip down to Kyushu in 2022. In this video I visit a shrine tucked away in the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Udojingu and set out on a hike down a beautiful valley in Nichinan City in Miyazaki Prefecture. Taking in the nature of the Inoyae Valley I discovered some beautiful waterfalls and gorge views along the way.
I also talk a little about the history of the Udojingu and and its surprising connection to where I now live in Japan. I also find one of the most informative reviews on Google leading to a must visit lighthouse....

Maybe the intro wasn't clear, the footage is from 2 years ago (March 2022) I went to Kyushu.
I now live in Mie, very much in the Tokai/Kansai/Kinki (how many names do they need for this region....! I know wider Mie is generally /Tokai/ but many people in the town where I live consider it to be part of Kansai being so close to the border with Nara, and Kansai-ben being prevalent, wakarahen!)
