Thank you, Eric. I am a fan of your work and Mr. Evansen’s. Your videos have been thought-provoking at the same time peacefully inspiring. I admire both of your approaches with the value studies and have been incorporating them into my own work.

I am a specialized doctor but unfortunately, my salary in a third-world country cannot really afford Andy’s courses. 😔 I joined his free workshop this month though through Artefacto and I really had so much fun and the impact to me was truly positive! Next year, once things hopefully get better and once I have a more stable income, I will definitely enroll in these fun and really impactful courses. For now, just want to thank people like you and Andy and the rest of the artists on youtube who provide helpful watercolor techniques and advice! 😀🙏🏾

You welcome. And, I believe with enough searching you can find many useful free resources out there. 😊

I started painting watercolor when I was 13 years old. I painted all through high school, but I quit because I was never happy with my paintings, and now I know why. I was painting old houses and boat houses around my area from photographs. I was at a show one time, and someone said, hey, that's my uncle's boat house down on Back Bay! Now I realize that that was not a good thing. I was painting every knot hole and drip of rust and blade of marsh grass. I could never acheive that loose style I admired so much.
I've started painting again after many years and I've watched a lot of Andy's demonstrations. I did my first value study with connected shapes and it was so freeing. I am really excited to paint again.

Mr. Eric, Im new to your channel. Im curious if you have made a detailed video on the brands you use (paints, brushes, papers, etc). If not, would you mind making one? I've recently picked up water colors, and Im gradually becoming familiar with the 'market'. Recently I bought some Chromtech paints and discovered that price DOES MATTER lol...so I scored a Windsor-Newton tray today, and there is a huge difference.
