This was one of the biggest and greatest songs of the 70's disco era. Vicki Sue Robinson's "Turn the Beat Around" helped to put disco music in the for front and on the map of Pop Music in the 70's. The song helped to propel one of the greatest movies ever made "Saturday Night Fever" in (1977). The rest as they say is history. This was the year I met my wife. We have been married now for 47 years and counting. Blessings to you both.
One of the absolute biggest early disco hits ever - it was everywhere!
She was an absolute goddess. Very unfortunate that she is no longer with us. She lost her life to cancer back in April of 2000.
She was fire!
YES, VSR!! My first disco/ dance single I played, and danced to, over and over again
This was a great disco dance song, loved it. One of my favorites. Gloria Estefan version was also great.
She could sing! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love her !❤ this song was so amazing in 76!
Grew up on this song. Parents had it on the jukebox we had in our living room. Years later I’m driving down the West Side a highway in NYC. At a red light the car over waved me to lower my window. Pretty lady gave me a flyer and told me to come check out her show. I didn’t think nothing of it as she drove away. I looked at the flyer. It was Vicky Sue who handed me the flyer for her own show. Unfortunately, and I guess I didn’t know this but she was sick at the time and died not to long after but I was floored it was her. She was sweet and glowing. Great song👍👍🙏❤️
best time of my life not a care in the world,my girfriend next door owned the 45 and use to bring it on over to my house to play on my mother's console stereo, good times.
I was in 8th grade in 1976 and Disco was on the rise when this was out. Other Disco songs at this time were "Right Back Where We Started From" by Maxine Nightingale "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate "Boogie Fever" by the Sylvers "That's the Way I Like It" by KC. Back when fun and good times were cool.
Prefer the studio version, great song.. And the cover by Gloria Estevan is fantastic also.
Gud morning got a request have you heard of one to one from. Toronto Canada song to chek is called black on white band only had 3 albums they don't exist any more
Never heard of this artist. Gloria Estefan did this song and it was a hit, Miami sound machine. This isn't even close to MSM and Gloria. Never heard this on the radio, Just the Miami Sound Machine version.
Love her best versions of this song (not this one) and Gloria Estefan's version as well when doing it with Miami Sound Machine.
Do-over…injustice to the studio cut, which is far and away superior to Gloria’s cover….
This wasn't a great version...
