    Griselda uses A LOT of samples actually, especially Westside. But on their WWCD album, they made every beat from scratch

    Great job making that beat sound sampled! Almost ALL of the Griselda catalog is sample heavy. With the newer label releases like WWCD though, they went with creating their own samples instead of paying for the clearance.

      @@NavieD Basically, the beats made by Beat Butcha or Beat Butcha and Daringer are usually sample-free, and a few other tracks also use samples from Beat Butcha's Filth kits. Pretty much everything else is sample-heavy.

    throughout there discog they have often used many samples, however more recently like on westsides project "who made the sunshine" it was stated that all beats were original compositions

    Man, it's such a simple concept but I've been struggling. Since watching your video I've been brickwalling the frequencies using SpecOps and it's just much easier to achieve the vibe. I had the tool for two years and never utilized it like that. It just turned my boom bap beats around overnight. Thank you!

    This is super dope. I got here from your other boom bap video but THIS one is the video I was looking for. I really like how you played the beat without the filters to show how much the plug-ins carried the final product.     I agree with the isotope vinyl being mainly good for frequency reduction. That’s why I like to use either waves J 37 or Kramer tape emulation alongside isotopes vinyl.

    Griselda production definitely uses samples. Known for finding great 1 bar loops. Daringer is the main producer.

    Klevgrand DAW cassette is like $10 and has one of the best tape saturations I've ever heard. rest of it is useless but it's worth it for the tape sat alone
