The 3rd gen Corvettes were some of the best looking cars ever. The 7th gen Corvettes were the first cars to best them.

@@gregamerson9172 I had a '69 427-390 hp roadster. It was a dog compared to the L-71 435 hp. I have driven many 390 hp versions and none of them were monsters. Lower compression, oval port heads and Quadrajet were hardly high performance.

Early C3s were unloved when new because it had the job of replacing the 63-67 Stingrays. They also had build quality problems
The build quality was way better than the C1 and C2.
