If you put your tongue on the back of your teeth and let the air flow over it, it will flutter without you doing it "manually". I got mine this Saturday at the NWTF Convention. I can make it gobble, but the problem is doing it consistently. I have until out opening day of March 31 to get it though. I was fluttering my tongue like you and it was a little to fast. One of the prostaffers called me that evening and helped me out with it. Keep practicing and maybe we will both post a great video here
I appreciate your suggestions, What state are you located? As our season here in Tennessee starts that same day! As for the crew at Down N Dirty, They are awesome. I was able to meet them all at the NWTF Convention as well. Super nice guys willing to show you how well there product works, especially with them calling you personally to help you out in learning it.
Want to know if you ever mastered this call by now? I have the shaker that I used last season and bought the Knight and Hale Hale Fire gobble call for this season. Got to say that the Hale Fire is pretty easy to use. But really thinking about buying a Haint. Im trying different gobbler calls, so this is another reason I asked.
This call is great! The thunder gobble is good but the insert needs to be replaced every season. This call you just hunt don't have to worry about finding the thunder gobble replacement voice. Go ahead look for it on the net. Flextone says they can be purchased. Good luck finding it. I used the thunder gobble since it came out I threw all three of em in the trash after getting this haint. Latex ages and if you hunt like I do it won't last a whole season. Do yourself a favor get a haint and take the time to practice. It's not a push button yelper it takes practice.
I feel bad when there's no one with a lot of experience to keep a nice guy like this from embarrassing himself. I'm surprised he want attracting boars and crows.
Alright everyone, I have had some people say this call doesn't sound that good. In reality I have not mastered this call up to the point of the video. It takes time and it takes a lot practice. Bad mouthing me for not being able to produce the gobble like it is supposed to isn't doing anyone any good. Yes, you may have mastered it and that is great that is what we want. The NWTF would not back this call if it really didn't work like it is supposed to or sound as good as it does when used right !
That call is so bad, and if your going to use it , you need a lot more practice....30 plus years of hunting never heard a Jake or gobbler sound like this so called call...
Buddy, you gotta slow down that "machine gun" from your tongue. The sound you are making doesn't sound like a Tom turkey yet. You have it close, but you HAVE to slow that machine gun down, and let your cheeks fill with air before you let that burst out. You go into the woods with what you have there an you will be scaring more birds than calling them. Just trying to be constructive. Good luck.
You seriously think that sounds remotely like a gobble? Sounds like you're removing a raccoon from a steel trap!
