  • What is the best budget video light? It just might be the Neewer CB60 B.
    While this is far from the highest build quality and light output there is to offer, at $110 (or even $135 if the coupon expires) it's really hard to beat this package. For the vast majority of people who make video on a semi-regular basis, this will probably tick all the boxes and leave you with some extra cash.

    I know its no surprise the quality of the video is very good because you review video gear and other video stuff but I was shocked you didnt have 10k follower at least! Keep it up like that and I’m not worried you will make it! Good stuff

    Gets to talking about the light after 3 minutes. (quite a helpful guy once he gets on topic) I might even buy one of these. LOL

    Great video Mike! Very informative and succinct. Towards the end of the video you said you'd get another one as a fill light, would you also get a softbox for the fill light? and do you think it's a good idea to get a hair light?
    Thanks!

      Yes! I got a softbox for the fill light. As for hair lights, they are nice to create a bit of separation, but your viewers probably won’t notice much.
      Honestly, I don’t even use the full most of the time. The one light with the 36” softbox is plenty and looks fantastic.

      @@MikeFaraci Thanks for getting back to me and for sharing Mike!. This video looked very well lit 👌 , did you only use one light for it?

    • @MikeFaraci
      @MikeFaraci  9 місяців тому +1

      Yes! And if you want to see the Neewer light I reviewed in action, take a look at this video on my “non-business related” channel: ua-cam.com/video/No0xpL9f5yg/v-deo.html
      This is the Neewer light along with the 36” softbox. Other than that it’s just an overhead room light.

    Hey mate. Would this be good for me 3x2 studios main key light. I’m going to be about 1.5 foot away from the light softbox.

    • @MikeFaraci
      @MikeFaraci  2 місяці тому

      It would be more than enough and would give you a ton of control. In my main setup I’m about 3 feet from the softbox with this light and it’s great.

    Hi there. I just got the MS60B because sometimes I MUST use Sony batteries in locations I don't get access to AC- but I want to make sure that the light will still provide the same ouput while using batteries as compared to AC (I know the batteries will run out in 30-45 min at near max power). I tested it the light and I'm pretty sure I noticed that the light dims a bit/much when I go from AC to battery power. Is this how the light was designed? to dim a bit when going from AC to battery? is this to protect the light? I also got a Godox ML60 bi and I tested it with AC and the same Sony batteries and I think the power output with batteries stayed almost the same as with AC...am I imagining things? Have you used the light with both AC and batteries? Thanks

      Wish I could help, but I’ve only used this light with AC power.
      Hope it works out for you, though!

    What about the noise?

    • @MikeFaraci
      @MikeFaraci  7 днів тому

      It’s not silent, but I have an Electrovoice RE20 and a Sennheiser MKH417 less than 6 feet from the unit in a non-sound treated room, and I’ve never had noise from the fan come through in my audio.

    Could you use a v mount battery on it ?

    • @MikeFaraci

      Not out of the box. You’d need an adapter.

    So can you adjust the intensity of the rgb .?

    • @MikeFaraci
      @MikeFaraci  11 місяців тому

      There is no RGB on this light… only white balance control.
