This is known as free motion embroidery. You drop the feed dog so that there is no gripping or pulling of the fabric from underneath. You can also use an embroidery foot. It's like drawing a design with a pencil but, here, you use a normal sewing machine and the needle is the pencil.

Its normal sewing machine..we modified it. Its trail and error process. there is no any perticular predefined process for it.

it's normal stitching machine. we played with shuttle timming with needle bar. also we remove the feed dog so no need to place foot down while stitching.
