When laceration tricks appeared in 2001 the yoyos wasn't totally unresponsive because the response systems wasn't well developed (in that period started a lot of differents handmade solutions). All players called them laceration tricks because you can be hurt really strong with that yoyos
im almost 50 and didnt know how people could do even the simplest of trick because i never bought anything but the cheap duncans from the box stores. I got a fizz 2 weeks ago and I felt so cheated. The fizz can do so many cool tricks, even with just casual practice. Ive already oredered a unresponsive yoyo for a few string tricks i wanna try. The fizz can do most of em but my knuckles are sore from unexpected self binds. Its a great hobby and for an old fatty like me it counts as exercise.

I'm 35 played with yoyos back in the 90s and idk what happened or what but my 4 year old told me out of the blue she wanted a yoyo and it started the fire.. Now I got 4 decent yoyos yomega groov (came with both bearings) and dash (unresponsive) a yoyo factory arrow. And a MAGICYOYO locus grew up with yomega and where I gravitated also got a brain for my 4 year old she hasn't got it down yet but she's a quick learner.. And got myself a yomega power brain xp as the last yoyo I remember owning back in the 90s was a x brain.. That broke when the string gave way and it broke the nut loose for the axel
Brandon... You need to tell the youngsters watching they can get decent unresponsive yoyos for £15 🤣 (N6, N12, Yo3, etc) You can't just direct them to the £40+ range straight away 🤣 Unless you have more affordable models I ain't seen mention of. Upvote for the hustle 😉
One possible reason the string keeps snapping is that the grip that returns the YoYo could've been made badly so it eats away the string by slowly cutting it as it spins. Happened to me with a B-grade and with my Jack knife.

i once bought a 1$ yoyo from a random stationery shop and was it good . the string were freraking strong, the plastic wasn't that cheap and it had a plastic bearing thingy. but now i cant find em anymore for some reason
I have alot of appreciation for this as I grew up in the 90's and still exclusively use 90's yoyos. And ya know.. I've actually been heavily criticized by the community for it. When I was posting trick videos, the only positive comment came from when I used an imperial to do a one hand brain twister.. which, if we are being honest is just about the most difficult trick you could do with that kind of yoyo 😐
