That sucks. But, at least it didn't fail on one of your long rides and you can do those little things to dial it in even more. You'll have it up and going, and even better than before, I'm sure. Keep us posted!
I know that it hurts with all the work you put into that scooter. But at least it's not totaled and a fairly easy fix. You'll have her up and purring again.
Sad news about the expensive bore, whatever you do - don’t assume it was a defective bearing. Detonation can rattle those needle bearings out. The lighter rollers (and higher revs) may have highlighted a lean condition you already had. It could have been a defective bearing but double double check your jetting, test for any air leak, when you rebuild measure your squish. How many base gaskets are you using and which size did you use? I can highly recommend the Airsal T6 kit if your up for some home porting. With a little work on the ports those T6’s blow Corsas out of the water and are nearly half the price. They just need a little love You’re using the plastic cooling shroud that wraps around the cylinder right?
Oh yeah, I loved that top end it is already tuned for it still so Why change the set up I just started digging into the CVT to unlock that motor even more which is the sad part, The build goes on!
@@davidhofinger4927 yup. sadly that's the way it goes. get one thing lined out and fixed and invariably something else goes to hell. it's just the way of the beast right? lol

On my gy6 I’m just gonna leave it be it’s perfectly built I would like to pick up another project bike after I get everything dialed in but there’s still a lot to do on that Vento, even over the winter that I’ll film every process with, success or failure 💪

If my motor ever needs to be reassembled for some reason I sure will I do not have a spare motor sitting around right now or bike to do so But I do have a third bike that I’m 100% going to be rebuilding the motor and I can include that that would be a great video for you and everybody else

Back to back to back, they even passed a new law that requires you to have a special license to operate a damn “50cc” on paper scooter. Got pulled over, given a ticket even $200 on top of it, AFTER about 5 failures on both bikes back to back. Wtf man. You ran the RPM too high. The lighter rollers were too light If u don't have a trail tech tachometer, you need to get one. Remember, I commented a while ago and u said you were tired of upgrading and didn't need it but just wanted to ride? Well, look what happened bc of a $40 part you didn't want to get... You didn’t tell me anything actually that’s kind of offensive my man, It was a mistake I learned on my own terms. I was talking about my other bike the Pony50 That I was tired of upgrading and just wanted to ride, definitely not my two-stroke, “well Look what happened because of a $40 part you didn’t want to get” I didn’t leave out a single part that wasn’t aftermarket performance related stuff. You never told me anything regarding what happened with this bike. This was an aftermarket high-performance needle bearing unfortunately it was a Taiwanese Naraku Needle bearing not the best company to run, that lesson was learned on my own terms. So $210 Will fix a new top end and replace it no big deal.
@@davidhofinger4927 I'm sorry my dude, it was the pony but u should for sure invest in a tach... It is to read your engine, tune it and save money on repairs. You should have it on all of em. All I did was buy a stage six needle bearing this time check it out this weekend you will see this bike re-rebuilt and running Stronger than ever
