I got the 2024 CX-50 Select back in November and absolutely love it. Drives so nice and it has everything that I need as far as the interior. I love your reviews. Very entertaining and educational. Thank you!
does the driver seat feel bigger than the cx5? the cx5 seat felt small, like the bottom part of the seat seemed short making it feel like poor thigh support or like i would slide forward
I like the extra ground clearance and the look of it not being as high as the CX-5, sorta looks like a Porsche Macan. The 50 is much more stylish in my opinion and has plenty of head room.
They have lift kits for them. One or two inch spacers maybe. I think Mazda has their own they sale. One UA-cam guy had it installed at his Mazda dealer. Ride quality and gas mileage would go down though i imagine.
Got a Mazda cx 50 premium in December, just roughly 3 months ago and it started causing me trouble. Currently in service center now. O2 sensor busted. I can't recommend cx 50 to anyone.l
I was hyped about the 90-70 but I sat in the 90 and the 50 for the money there small cars I’m not a big big person but they give me a claustrophobic feeling a lot of money
I mean if you're an audiophile type, the bose upgrade is by far the best stereo in this price range/category. Personally, I think it's nice they offer it on "lower" trims
At 02:52 I see the Mitchell Enterprise name. How much do pay per month for the advertising to the new owner of the vehicle. I purchased a new Mazda and told the dealership if they wanted to put their stupid name on my vehicle they will have to pay me monthly for as long as I own the vehicle. Needless to say, they delivered a vehicle without their stupid name on it.
For my future car upgrade, I'd want either the CX-50 with Toyota hybrid system, or the CX-70. I want the one with better fuel economy and off-road capability.
@@AD-lf9ck You absolutely can get the sensors as a dealer add-on. Some dealers do the accessory options better than others. One I used in TN even installed a heated steering wheel for a 2020 Mazda6 touring. I asked about getting the CX-50 TPP with the 18" rims, however, & was told Mazda did not allow the dealerships to make such a swap. I can't be the only customer who doesn't want the extra weight, size, & potential damage risk from the 20" wheels. I basically wanted the TPP amenities on the Meridian package...strangely not possible. Charging more for smaller rims, minimal graphics, & APEX package results in the Meridian Edition being very close in price to the TPP model...or almost exactly the same for the TP. model. Yet the Meridian loses the ventilated seats, NAV, expensive rims, & for 2024, removes the Bose audio as well. I love my 2022 CX-5 Signature, my 6th Mazda since 2008, but even loyal customers like me might consider leaving the brand due to fast rising prices across all models...combined with less content in just about each new model year. I realize that describes much of the auto industry attm, but the days of Mazda being like the best kept secret of auto value AND superiority compared to Honda & Toyota are starting to fade away. It's not really a niche, near premium vehicle that beat rivals on price, driving enjoyment, & style. Instead, it's trying to undercut BWM, Lexus, Volvo, etc. by becoming a lower volume, higher priced luxury brand. They already had that reputation - along with best-in-class safety & reliability - with their existing models for years before unveiling their new "premium level luxury" rear-drive based large SUV's. The roll out of the CX-90 has been hampered by recalls and TSB's, so the jury is still out on Mazda's new strategy. I'm already seeing quite a few CX-90 models - usually the highest spec'd editions - being sold as CPO's with low mileage examples priced at 20% discounts off MSRP. I've used that exact strategy to purchase my last 4 Mazda's, & you can often get an extra 6-9k miles & 6-10 months added to the original warranty. Once all the bugs are resolved, I might consider the CX-70 TSPP if the same scenario drops the price from $60k+ MSRP to $48k CPO. I know the $7500 lease cash on the PHEV is part of this issue, but the Inline 6 models are also being discounted despite few incentives. @JSS What's your opinion?
As I said to someone else on another review, the US meridian is based on the base Turbo model. US meridian never had bose audio either. Bose was on 4 models. For non turbo, it was on s premium and s premium plus. For turbo models only Turbo premium and turbo premium plus. The meridian you're looking for exists in canada.
I live in Huntsville, Alabama where they build these…. I wonder if my local Mazda dealer would wave the destination fee since it only had to travel like 12 miles….
Mazda does not have a cvt transmission like Nissan and subaru. It's transmission is tried and true... people complain more about the transmission on the rav4... which has 8 speeds. People have complained about Acuras 10 speed transmission. Nothings been said about mazdas 6 speed unit.

Congratulations Connie! Thank you for the support.

Wish it stands a little higher, like cx 5..
Get a bigger rim with fatter tire profile

I still says its over priced just because it has a decent stereo system 4000 more than base
How is rear seat headroom for 6'4"
There’s room. I’m 6 ft-ish with my hair and there’s several inches above 😁🤣
@JSS bummer. I was told it wasn't tall enough when I got a newer vehicle or I might have gotten the 50. The cx5 is really tight.

Great job!
Panoramic sunroof is over rated and the Bose is just not necessary.
Best overall option among all the trims is the PREFERRED.

We gladly remove our sticker at the new owners’ request.
Is the night view of the backup camera any better for the CX-50 compared to the CX-5?
How does the non turbo engine perform? Does it lag? Trying to purchase premium trim this week
Too much black inside. Put some wood trim or chrome or something. Boring instrument cluster. Seems pretty blah and outdated.
I'm sorry the prices of these boutique suvs are ridiculous. 45k for a turbo pp. Insane.
i wish they made those cargo covers for the cx-30. the backs of my seats always get beat up when i'm hauling gear
Does the wideness translate into extra seating and cargo space?
Yes extra cargo space and more hip and shoulder room.
Which one better buy ? the premium plus or the premium ?
Does the wideness translate into extra seating and cargo space?
Cargo yes but seating not so much.

If I HAVE to buy a car now, (to replace by 2017 CRV) I would buy this car. NOT the Premium though, too expensive.
Got the CX 50 premium blk on Saturday 3/09. Trade in 2022 cx5 pp
Just got my 2024 Mazda CX-50 S Premium. I'm stoked!
I WANT PARKING SENSORS OPTION ON LOWER TRIMS.
Then it wouldnt be a lower trim
@dandahl5964 I mean. An option where customers can pay for it. To get sensors, have to buy the most expensive trim.

Still trying to love it. Just don't like the way those front seats hit my shoulder blades at 6'2". They could have done better
haha its not designed for off road awd is not really for offroad, 4wd is
Is there still no awful stop/start on the non turbo 50? I believe the turbo still has it..
Non turbos have cylinder deactivation

Unfortunately, Mazda adds the fee to every vehicle. Not the dealer. It doesn’t hurt to ask though 😁

@@gailenrique2804 I know it’s so bad. CVT suck. The 8 speed is better but depends how it’s tuned
Acoustic glass?
Not likely at this price point, more lily in the CX-70/90 top trim, but IDK for sure ...
Is only on cx-5.
