- Corrie and Two Pints of Lager star Will Mellor joins GMB today to talk about playing Post Office scandal victim, Lee Castleton in Mr Bates Vs The Post Office. He reveals why he backed the petition for its former boss, Paula Vennells, to be stripped of her CBE.
He’s currently busy filming on the cobbles and will be heading out on an April Fools’ Live Tour in 2024 with his fellow Two Pints co-star, Ralf Little.
Will is then reunited with the man he portrayed on screen, Lee Castleton!

I have been watching this and I am just horrified at what these people have gone though
One issue that hasn't been looked at properly is the one that from the beginning of switching to computer accounting, that the role and need of the Post Office investigators would diminish. It has been difficult to understand how any of them missed that the computer was in error. Though most have said it wasn't a consideration, more or less. However, it was or should have been understood that their job would been redundant with a computer accounting system being more accurate. Unfortunately, the computer programming was critical and didn't work properly. This was or had to be viewed as a reprieve of sorts for the investigator's jobs. All the sub postmasters/mistresses and clerks were afterwards collateral damage. This does not lessen the responsibility of the Post Office managers that should have seen how the investigators were viewing the computer accounting system being in place or anyone involved with the computer system been started.
Here is the thing, apart from all the other aspects of this affair the role of Lord Neuberger in the Recusal seems to have escaped attention.
I have therefore pasted the following ‘The role of Lord Neuberger in the recusal fiasco (Justice Fraser) should be investigated’ on as many UA-cam articles as I could, about ten, but when I checked to see if there was any response I discovered they had all been taken down.
This Kafkaesque episode staggers one at every turn, even when Big brother has been outed he seems to be still working away!
I really want to know why Lord Neuberger interfered , if the recusal had succeeded the whole noble attempt at taking on the stinking system would have failed
Why was this woman, obviously very self serving, was awarded an CBE under this tory self serving government is not really a surprise!!
To date, not a single Post Office person has been prosecuted or fined. Why not?

He's only the figurehead he doesn't have any control. It's the government (Kevin Holinrake). Royal Mail is privately owned now but the Post Office (separate entity) is owned by the government
