Ek baat aur jo mjhe dhili lagi with the character of Tripti Dimri is that koi bhi ladki jiska husband abhi mara ho aur uska Dil nikal k kisi aur aadmi ko donate kiya gaya aur vo ladki is ready to sleep with the man who just received it itni jaldi kon pighalta hai bhai it is like cheating to your deceased Husband.

Saurabh Sachdeva is actually an acting coach thats why his performances are so amazing. Ironically hes also been Tripti Dimri's acting coach. He has also trained many other new age actors as well. Hes part of the Barry John's teaching institute and now has his own institute as well. Hes trained Varun Dhawan, Vani Kapoor, Richa Chadha, Dulqar Salman, Rana Daggubati to name a few
One observation I realised is that the movie is very evidently divided into two halves. The first half is the adrenaline rush one gets of being animalistic, the rush you feel when you take actions without taking any kind of morals into consideration. He goes and kills people, the first person he actually kills is his sister's husband and you can see he starts huffing and breathing heavily after chocking him, displaying the aftermath of actually killing someone. Because of this small detail, killing someone doesn't just feel like two words and the reality of the action is visible in Ranbir's reaction. The rush is real in the first half, and the 'anti - hero' is who we support. But as the second half starts, the character starts facing the consequences of being animalistic. He goes mad, cheats, gets angry, is naked and everything is justified in his head because morals dont exist in this mind. But now, he faces the consequences of being crazy. Dad is dying, wife leaves him, he lost everything. To be honest, he loses the audience from his side too. The second half coverts the character from a protagonist to an antagonist because of his animalistic actions, which I feel was Vanga's way of saying this is what will happen if you go down this road. Bobby is animalistic too, and very evidently when we see him killing someone so brutally at his wedding we in our mind establish him as 'the villain' but in reality, no one is a hero in this story. Whatever anyone will think of this film being good or bad is very individualistic, but this fact is what I left the movie with and I feel you need guts to make a story like this, in today's time.
I see many people saying the Zoya arc was not needed But I think it's the most important thread actually coz till that point Even though Ranbir was killing people the audience still connected with him and saw him as an anti hero till the first half coz he is such a dutiful son, a supportive brother, a loyal husband, feerless, alpha, man of his word, masculine etc But the moment he cheated on Rashmika it's the audience that feels cheated and it breaks the entire alpha, loyal, man of his word character of his and he truly becomes an animal, who's filled with rage, lust and doesn't care what's wrong or right, the entire 2nd half is sandeep trying to make the audience get disgusted with Ranbir and doesn't allow the audience to worship him as a Hero😊
could have done a better job at that tho. Like This entire sub plot could have been reduced with just one convo. Furthermore both sides didn't make sense.Like did Zoya really think that Vijay won't meet his family again? or what was the need for Vijay to do the entire romance plot if he already knew the truth about Zoya and could have just forced her to say the truth? The problem is not the sub plot itself but rather the usefulness of that sub plot
Agreed, I think that's a good point. Though he could have forced her to tell the truth, like tortured or something he chose to cheat. And he faced the consequences in the end. I don't get the criticism.
That's the point. The man has gone ahead and portrayed him as an alpha man - he has brought a gun to a college, opened fire, stole someone else's fiancee etc etc etc He never had a moral compass. The audience just thought he was a loyal son, protective brother blah blah, to see him in a good boy light. He did what he was meant to do. He had a negative shade from the begining. I do not think, there was anything to be disappointed at this cheating pov. Yes it was let down for a 2 second time period until Rashmika comes to know of it. Loved the movie 🎥
Idk how no one is talking about it, but another best thing i loved about animal is the bgm, music, song and overall sound. Everything exceptional ! Literal "goosebumps"
Issey pehel main Hollywood movies hi dekhta tha. Lekin #Animal dekhne ke baad proud feel kr rha hun aisi movies India mein bhi bj skti hain.. Hats off to SRV and my all time fav. Ranbir Kapoor..❤❤
Tripti Dimri has also worked in Laila Majnu which was her debut as well and also stars Avinash Tiwari. Its a very underrated movie with a cult following and amazing music😊
This is a psychological based, gritty, american psycho type movie. It has layers in it characters and at the same time, it has dark humor. This is a too good to be true movie. It requires a level of maturity. This movie has everything - good story, good acting skills, good everything. Moral of the story is - Even by all violent means, he does not get what he wants in the end. The title of the movie is Animal! I do not know who is expecting the character to be morally right.
Good things about movie 1. Ghrr me bhai chara ba krrkho . 2. Respect those who works for you and your family no matter what their designation is 3. Protect and support your sister. 4. Always be in a good shape . 5. Accept body hair and body type. 6. Before marrying someone get to know them@well and always go for simplicity. 7. Respect your mother equally as your father. 9. Get your degree and education well and understand the dynamic of family business and global relationships. 10. Always speak truth to your partner and family And last but not the least don't play moral game with the artist ,accept the craft ❤ And so many other points also
@@utkarshtsingh6978 no but it's just the wrong interpretation. You can learn something good from everything and everyone around you, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the product or the creator is trying to teach you that, or trying to teach you anything at all. It's good that he learnt this, but the intention of the movie wasn't to teach any of these things to the audience.
@@spacemann1425 yes you are right but he writes good point (moral correct) according to his . Salman in an interview said about Radhe character from "Tere Naam" that he's a loser character and that no one should follow him... same goes with Animal
I feel art is not meant to be made for audience. It is made for expression. And in my opinion no cinema did this better than Animal in the cinema which I watched.
There are several ways to make art. Some artists have the audience in mind. Other only have their personal expression in their mind. Some have both. Some find the right balance between the two.
@@Tejaswi_Rao he loves his father more than his wife but still cheating is not justified.also he killed like 100s of people 😂,do you think a man that killed so many people could not cheat or be aggressive on his wife
@silksonic3927 it wont happen because we saw him in his old age, but thats the thing about this movie, it tells us that people like ranvijay singh exists in this world who are alive and well after commiting murders due to the power and money the hold, but on the other side the people he killed arent innocent as well, they were the one who tried to kill him and his dad. it was a situation for ranbir like either kill them or you and your dad dies.
Thats the thing. Director deliberately took everything away from you to let you sympathies with the character. I liked that bit. It left no room for romanticisation of his character. It only showed him as pure animal who acts out of impulse and instincts rather than intellect. His obsession with his father degraded his personality completely. He himself promised her that he will never betray her and he did. The first half of this movie shows him as a protector. The second half show him as an abuser. In the first half he asks his sister to stand up for herself and fight for herself. In the second half. He is the one who broke his own promoses and character trait in his blind obsession with father. Cheating part was the peak. It made people uncomfortable and gave people no room to empathize with him. Its a good choice by director. He focused on the abusive traits in second half.
@@anoshlimboo2339 its not zoya. Its Geetanjali who got cheated. Joya's character gets elevated while leads spirals downwards when he asks her to lick his shoes.
I loved the movie too. I haven't watched a full Bollywood movie in years. Vanga Reddy has put a lot of thought into the movie. Happy for Bollywood , it's a progress from mediocrity of cinema. I loved the treatment.
I don't know why people hating this movie bhaii matlab if this is happened in south nd Hollywood bhaii log pagal ho jate hai matlab hypocrisy bhi seema hoti hai

i agree to shan's commentry on ranbir's character becoming a heartless monster but his smile when his son comes running back to him as his wife leaves him and the words his father before has to be kept in mind for the upcomming part as he won't become a complete monster for the sake of his son but thats my opinion and maybe wrong who know we need to wait for the next part to know
I don't understand the criticism for this movie at all.......I too watched the movie in a 3 tier city where the audience were mostly young. There were many young girls and people were enjoying the movie in general.Ranbir Kapoor's character is so clear cut that everything he does is for one reason and he will go to any extent to achieve it .His father comes first than anything else in his life is secondary. Those who are complaining of toxicity, patriarchy and masculinity should not watch the movie.
It is a trash B grade movie like 90's revenge films. Undeserving overhyped. Ranbir is doing overacting. Why cant we support good movies instead like sirf ek banda kafi hai staring manoj bajpai. That movie shows a real good man.
And if you guys noticed when he had an argument with varun on balveer’s 60th birthday when he he told his sister “ tumhe dikh nhi rha these people are here with guns , I don’t wanna get involved with them” but then later he becomes the criminal himself so the drowning into the abyss and his character becoming something he didn’t wanted to is shown clearly
This could be unpopular opinion but I think, Ranbir's character knew the Tripti was a traitor which he confronts her too during her confession. He still continued to have sex with her that too without condom with the intention of ruining her life, signifying one of the Human-turned-animal trait. It's extreme but just a food for thought 😬
He knew she was traitor but not knew what was the plan dude . Listen carefully he only listens to her while she is talking . After she done the talking then he responded to her . That show that he was really genius.

So true. The film is very real, the emotions and relationships are very real. People have got used to sanitised version of relationships from watching nonsensical love stories and generally all the nonsensical, pretentious bollywood stuff. Ghar pe sab koi grey hi hota hai... the best men in society can be beasts sometimes.
Ghar pe log ek dusre ko marte pitate regte hai cheat karte rehete hai and 500 logon ko jaan se maar dete hai? Sorry aisa to india ke normal gharon me nahi hota hai.
Best men are those who can build a peaceful society like mahatma gandhi sardar patel or even common man that works honestly with support of the family and thinks about better future for everyone. Going on kill spree to satisfy ego is work of bad elements in society and they are mentally weak.

The way I was judged for actually putting a positive post on the movie , I being a woman, a mother wasn't supposed to love it but call it out for it's misogyny, no I didn't feel it that way because I don't go watch a movie for social service or carrying a moral compass , I go to get entertained , issee zyada violence I have seen in many English series like Walking dead , in which two main protagonists were literally smashed by Negan , it was so graphic that I couldn't eat my meal that day , so for me I purely watched the movie thinking that the protagonist is a problematic guy with major mental health issues .. hence his behaviour. How can u expect a psychopath to be rational ? Plus ppl went on to character analyse Vanga for his movies , arey bhai differentiate art from artist , jus because a guy makes a Dexter or Hannibal or John wick doesn't mean Director gets inspired from his own life , it's how he visualises his script . Indian audience have evolved over the years but critics don't want them too, I am happy that Vanga is able to break these barriers and notions and take the cinema way ahead from the template .
Respect for you, the title itself is Animal which shows that the protagonist is going to be a very problematic character. But I guess some people just don't get it
Sorry to disagree but the character is being hated upon because of his lack of remorse for his actions! Even Gangs of Wasseypur had 100 times more violence than Animal but in Gangs of Wasseypur the message was very clear- violence will not lead to anything good! But in Animal nothing Ranvijay did all that he did without any consequences whatsoever. He craved for his father's love and to prove to his father that he is the best son he justifies his actions. But for a moment think about this- Vijay was also not a good father either as he barely spent time with his kids and he literally tried to shoot his wife in front of his kids. Even in the end there is no redemption shown as Vijay's son returns to him. The only issue I had with the character is that he has no self- realisation.
@@seemonjena659arey that's what u want the guy to be jus because he's the protagonist, he's not a protagonist in the first place , he's not a good guy, the movie is about a very very problematic guy, he won't suddenly have a change of heart and start thinking with empathy or rationale , he evolves to become more insane , he feels he's an animal and justifies his own behaviour, vanga has inverted the template and didn't make a movie on a hero , rather made a movie on an antagonist who has a skewed idea about life
@@seemonjena659In real life There are many people who don't get self-realization. There are many men who get away even after doing shittest thing. Why you want a fictional character to get self-realization when world is different.

It seems when it comes to this movie, every critic has seriously lost the plot on HOW TO REVIEW A FILM! Every conversation in the movie is as RAW and REAL as a conversation can be. The way sandeep has explored masculinity, male ego, male psychology, and how Ranbirs character slowly derails and looses everything in the end is pure GOLD! this film is a statement, a BOLD one. Love it, Hate it, but you sure as hell can't IGNORE IT

Vijay character is going through a phase were he is not an alpha male anymore… he wounded, his heart is failing also he is not able perform with his woman … he is in his most insecure phase and more than ever he needs this self validation…. He is probably afraid that his wife would leave him, so he is pleading his case with her, without realizing that he is actually making it worse … it’s only after his son calls him a hero he takes himself seriously…. It is a great character arc… it’s masterpiece to explore the psychology of a fallen hero… geeta characterization is even better, she understands that her husband is going through some depression, and supports him…
What a point... you become the monster you are fighting... Papa no giving time and you becoming bcoz as time goes on bcoz it's circumstances what an point
There may be many layers to a man’s character and that’s what Vanga Reddy has tried portraying through Ranbir’s role. Ranbir’s range of emotions have been shown based on various situations he is under. He is shown protecting his sister, father and family, confessing cheating on his wife as part of plan which he could have kept a secret, violent shade being brought to the fore numerous times, romantic side, forgiving Zoya etc. It is shocking to know that most people are only talking about Ranbir’s misogynistic conduct in the movie whereas there were several shades to his character. The bottom line is that Vanga Reddy has served the Indian audience with something different…whether good or bad remains a matter of personal preference and choice.
The craziest movie i Ever seen in my life... that dialogue of alpha male directly attacked my heart because i am not one... Vanga is a director who shows actor as a person than a actor.Like even Arjun Reddy was a person who is not acting in that typical actor but acting like a natural human being .
I think the only main issue was some of the scenes were unnecessary ans didn't add anything to the storyline. Like their plane almost crashing into the mountain, and then talking about doing it on the airstrip. Pretty sure there were a few more like these. These could've been removed entirely and made space for more screen time for Bobby. Probably could've just shown us 5 mins of his childhood.
Here's a joke The most funny thing in the movie was , in Arjan veely song the bodyguards starts singing to raise confidence of main character instead of helping him.
Yes, singing has been a common practice throughout history during times of war. Soldiers often sang to boost morale, express camaraderie, and cope with the stress and fear of battle. These songs varied greatly depending on culture, era, and the specific circumstances of the conflict.
We live in a generation where calling an overweight/fat person fat is called fatshaming. I mean how did we arrive here? How much more softer are we going to get??

Yeah, i agree. 2 half felt like different movies. Reminded me of kill bill part 1 & 2.
Good observation 😎
Well said
Sir hope ur daughter get men like him and you enjoy that thn
I thought that’s what this film was trying to convey, but it does a pathetic job in terms of execution
That is a real good detail
could have done a better job at that tho.
Choti aur achi ho jati movie

Yup, this was the best cringe art ever made with such great music, editing and action.

Finally 2 adults talking maturely about this movie.
maturely????
@Dany_writes This conversation was far from mature!
Southern movies m zyda gore aur violence hota and vanga is typically south movies influence

May ur daughter get natural.lover like them
@@ap-pn5xp 🙏👏
I think the only main issue was some of the scenes were unnecessary ans didn't add anything to the storyline. Like their plane almost crashing into the mountain, and then talking about doing it on the airstrip. Pretty sure there were a few more like these. These could've been removed entirely and made space for more screen time for Bobby. Probably could've just shown us 5 mins of his childhood.
The reason for this is that Indian audiences are drawn to fantasy.
If they will show it all in this movie whats gonna be in next one ?
This is the convo I wanted ❤❤
Here's a joke
The most funny thing in the movie was , in Arjan veely song the bodyguards starts singing to raise confidence of main character instead of helping him.
Because he already told them it's his own fight, let him fight them alone
@@loveyourself-n6y man I meant it as a joke , I really loved the movie
Art has been chasing you but you've always been blowing narratives!
Yes, singing has been a common practice throughout history during times of war. Soldiers often sang to boost morale, express camaraderie, and cope with the stress and fear of battle. These songs varied greatly depending on culture, era, and the specific circumstances of the conflict.
Ranbir in an interview said: It’s an adult rated Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Now I understand.
We live in a generation where calling an overweight/fat person fat is called fatshaming. I mean how did we arrive here? How much more softer are we going to get??
Galat baat h..Pehle k zamaane me jaise har baat pe maa baap bachhon ko jhapad maar diya karte the..wahi sahi tha..tum logon ko usi generation me bhej dena chahiye..civilized society me rehne layak ho hi nai..
People say that Bobby Deol didn't got enough screen time
But he isn't the villain of the movie right
He has some sort of extended cameo in this movie
His character is there only to grow Ranvijay as a character
Or at least that's how I think
When Jija touched her face, I literally went “oyeee! 😡” in the theater 😂😂
Bro that music.. and RK saying ye sab kya ho rha hai didi... i really felt goosebumps what a direction and acting 💀💀🗿
Pj never disappoint 😂
rewatch this movie many times so we get more movie like this

Bhai can we accept more podcast like this
Shan I really appreciate your work. You know guys mentioned Saurav Sachdeva he’s such a talented actor because he trained lot of Bollywood star kids. He’s been teaching in Sir John Barry’s acting school. And he’s also the same guy who was introduced as Issa in Sacred Games Kuckoo’s bf.
He has done a fantastic role in Bambai meri jaan he literally overshadowed actor like Kay Kay Menon 🙏🏼👏🏼
One of the best movies ever!!!! Loved every minute of it ❤
Thoroughly enjoyed!
Shan or pj bhai.. pehle baat to ye m kisi ka side lene wala nhi hu.. but pratik bhai ne jo animal review ke time par bola wo bilkul sahi tha.. ranbir kapoor sahi raste par h to koi dikkat nhi h kisiko bhi.. hamara sanatan dharam yahi sikhata h.
