Yes! Tom is a real artist. It’s like watching Van Gogh or Oscar Wilde or Monet do their thing in real time. I’ve always wondered what it was like for some people in history who saw the potential in or appreciated great artists in their time (especially if the artist wasn’t popular until later or something). When I see Tom I’m aware I’m watching something great unfolding.
Tom is a true artist and a lyrical genius.
This just definitely shows how diverse he is with his style. That is another reason he has such a huge following. This is another reason I am beyond ready to listen to the new album the brave. He said there are songs on there that him and Adam did that were outside of the box and would never expect out of them. It's one of my favorites by Tom, which is strange, since I was so new to rap when I first heard it and as you said, it's one of Tom's pure rap tracks, without any of his rock influences at all. But it is what it is. I like the savage bars mixed with the nonchalant attitude.

Now you should check out his battle with Mac Lethal. It started when Tom put out Straight White Make and Mac Lethal talked ish about Tom on Twitter but didn’t tag Tom in the post. When Tom called Mac out for it he backpedaled and Tom dropped “Lethal Injection” as a bait track. Mac took the bait and dropped Single White Female where he made the ultimate mistake of dissing Nova and then Tom ended him with Mac Lethal Sucks (Mac Lethal Diss 2). Before going in you will need to know who Chris Benoit is and what he did so you can catch the coldest bar ever dropped in a diss.

toms got bars but sometimes I dont think he believes the shit he says. he just knows it will provoke and get clicks, its engineered reaction rap. then I agree with a lot of the shit he says and I respect that he is the only one saying it. the more songs I listen to the more I notice he recycles the same flows and patterns. sometimes its so corny Im embarrassed to be watching it. then every now and then I catch myself enjoying something.
