I’ve had my Sound Gear Phantom for two years, they are fantastic. Great description and review. A couple additional comment: 1. The audiologist that fit mine gave me ear lubricant to help put them in and seal them. 2. He had the right plug made red and the left one blue.

I just had a hearing appt. I have DMG from military service, plus I carry for work. Being able to wear em and not be affected by gun shots. Nice!

You do not need to go to a DR. or an ENT/Audiologist. I got mine at Audibel Hearing Center in Clearwater Florida off us 19. The specialist was able to do the custom molds same day. I was referred from a friend who uses them at work (police) and he loves them. Tried other types and they just didn't have the quality that the Sound Gear has. No co-pay and my insurance covered the cost. Best set I have come across.

SG states they have a 23 hour battery life (if not streaming). You mentioned that you've had to charge them after the first or second day of use, which indicates to me that they aren't lasting as long as SG touts?
I've heard others mention that if they are sitting in the rechargeable case for several days, they will automatically discharge "to improve battery longevity". Have you experienced this?
You spoke of the great things about the Phantoms. What, in your opinion, isn't so great? Nothing is perfect, so there must be flaws.
I have a pair of the SG Platinum Series hearing-pro. They've been great, but removing the batteries after every use is a bit of a pain. Plus, I need to keep the battery compartments open to let them dry out. And of course, buying batteries/carrying them around is cumbersome.
