Wouldn’t say Appleton is the only issue. Positional recruitment is another. Signed a few big names but not in the right positions. we’ve got 3 mediocre fullbacks, 10+ centre mids, 5 strikers and 6 centre backs. Doesn’t take a genius to spot which areas are lacking. Tayo Edun and Tennai Watson have been the worst players for us consistently. Offer nothing going forwards and can’t defend to save their lives. Tennai Watson especially was a dreadful signing- has not proven himself at this level. All he’s proven to me is that he belongs in the national league at best. Edun is a league 1 winger and a mediocre one at that.
Appleton is the main issue and I will stand on that now. I’ve never been too vocal on my opinions but you’ve got to see that’s there’s no improvements. No manager should last this long in a job without a win. Not saying I disagree with the squad but come on
@@JoshuaWillcox yes I also think Appleton’s lack of leadership from the touch lines, late subs and poor formation decisions has cost us points. But I also think that players who blatantly aren’t pulling their weight deserve to be named and shamed. I caught onto Fraser a lot quicker than everyone else did. I’m quite confident that my opinions on Tennai Watson and Tayo Edun will be more vastly agreed upon by the end of the season. Personally, I think if Appleton gets sacked, the appointed assistant will take his place for this season at least- not exactly spoiled for other options. Check out Flemming’s resumé- not thrilling stuff either. Signing new fullbacks is more important than sacking Appleton. I wouldn’t be sad to see Appleton go but not calling for his head either.

Tbh mate, I think we’ve deserved every loss unfortunately. Today, we played well in spells but just never really created much. Second half we just looked scared and invited their pressure too much and literally nothing happened apart from ref getting injured and toilet roll being thrown on the pitch
We have so many championship level players but we don’t have the manager to get us up there we have the manager to get us in league 2

Once again spot on, we have a few that could cut it in low end championship and high end league 1, we are where we are because of Appleton.

Did great one year, then fans began to dislike him.
And to think that Nick was so optimistic. In truth Alfie's 'goal' shouldn't have been chalked off and Edun was denied a stonewall pen but it didn't matter. Burton are very mediocre and we should at least have seen them off, even if not convincingly. I'd like to think there'd be olayers and staff having paint-peeling-off-the-wall rows in the dressing room or at Sparrows Lane. But I doubt it. An emotion-free zone it would seem.
Appleton has lost the dressing room. All the players looked so pissed off yesterday- only one to go up and shake his hand after game was Bakinson but he’s new so 😂

@@christopherbarter2271 Appleton hasn't exactly endeared himself to the fans. He shows no emotion on the touchline and not too long ago he bit back and was disparaging to some. Dean Holden was sacked at the end of August(!) for losing 5 games in a row yet Appleton's record since basically an away win at Wigan at the end of October has been abysmal. He has proved clueless and IMHO doesn't deserve to squander the relative riches we've bought in during this window. If he's allowed time and does turn things around fair do's. Can't see it.

Yes mate, we met them in the pub and they seemed alright- walked towards ground and saw they punched up a Charlton fan and ran off.
