Well tbh, Sean believed they meant a normal race, not a drift race. That's why when Twinkie said "Drift King", he didn't know what drifting meant. As soon as the elevator opened and he saw the two cars drifting, he didn't look too confident in it.
If I knew my component was this trash, I would not even waste my ties by drifting, I would probably just drive normally or even slowly to the end, or just reverse xD
