    With the 7+ month journey from beginning to finished repair, the "SAGA" typo in the intro is very appropriate! :)

      Oh! For frig sake. LOL. Well, my video making is always quite the saga, so you are correct, very appropriate.🙄

    Just wanted to say that I very much enjoy your content and hope to see you continue into the new year - at your own pace, because I totally understand scripting, filming and editing videos can be a chore (I personally find the editing process to be a pain). Thanks for all that you do!

      Thank you very much, LB. Very kind of you to say. LOL, don't encourage me by saying, "your own pace" - I'll never get out any videos. 😉

      Thank you very much. Geez, I think I missed watching your Atari 2600 from Oven to Heatsink video. I will correct that oversight.

    I never saw caps being installed like this. So we don't really need to thread it through the PCB holes?

    • @MindFlareRetro
      @MindFlareRetro Рік тому

      Well, always best to thread them through the PCB holes when the PCB is designed that way. The Game Gear is an odd design in that respect, no through holes in the PCB, just pads, yet they use "through hole" capacitors.

    I couldn't agree with you more about the liquid tape. Great product, horrible built-in brush. Thanks for sharing your work!

    Shouldn't you glue down those caps? They're flapping in the breeze now.
    I see lifted pads in the future.

    • @MindFlareRetro
      @MindFlareRetro Рік тому

      Yes, I was thinking about gluing the down the caps, but I figured this Game Gear would not be too much motion stress from now on so I left them unglued. Let's hope your premonition doesn't come true.
