Although a cradle Catholic, as a university grad, I dismissed the reality of Purgatory as a medieval ideology. At the age of 50 I had a mystical experience which I could not deny as “REAL”. I was touched by a soul who needed my forgiveness and help out of a very horrid place. I did not “see” the horrid place with my physical eyes, but was definitely aware of it as the soul reached out to me (in the Cemetery no less!). I know with my whole heart and soul that Purgatory exists and that every soul is in need of our daily and constant prayers, Masses and suffering for them. You do know the doctrine of purgatory was invented by the catholic church in the 13th century right ? It's found absolutely nowhere in any scripture and nothing even close to it was ever taught by christ the apostles or any of the early church fathers
Hi Christine! The 30 Masses your priest felt compelled to say are called Gregorian Masses, a Mass said each day for 30 days for one soul. I first heard about those in the early 1980s when I was around 30 years old. I had Gregorian Masses said for a deceased priest I knew, and someone told me I would dream of him three times. I asked the priest to let me know when he started the Masses. In the meantime, I found a little booklet with prayers and hymns. On Page 23 there were words to a song my deceased priest friend taught me when I had just about finished my shorthand classes in high school; in fact, it was one of the first things I wrote down in shorthand! I knew that the Masses had begun! A few days later I received a letter from the priest saying those Masses. It was dated April 23 and he said he had started the Masses that day! So Masses started on April 23 and my favorite hymn was on Page 23! And yes, I did dream of him three times, one in some suffering, one improved, and one where he said good-bye as he was leaving for heaven!
Yes I had 30 masses Gregorian for my mom before she completed 40 days of her death. And a nun friend of mine told me that Our Lady appeared to her niece and told them that one of their nephews who had died was not in heaven yet. And Our Lady told them to have the 30 Gregorian masses said and so my nun friend had it said. Two months later she came to know that her nephew was in heaven. So I believe in Gregorian masses and I wish all catholic will believe in them and priests say it sincerely for 30 days. I saw My aunt in law, in my dream and I was so happy to see her as i tried to hug her but I sensed her disappointment with me. She held a white rosary beads in the front of my face. I woke up and I knew she wanted me to pray for her Holy Soul.

I know that she and women like us carry deep scars til we die our earthly life. To forgive is an act of true grace that sanctifies a soul, which your mother did, as I also did with my father on his deathbed. All glory is given to God! May your mother be at peace❤It doesn't stop there for me. My mother emotionally abused & neglected me my whole life as far back as I can remember, as well as betrayed me. It crushed me, but by God's gracious mercy & love restored my broken soul. May God help all those who have been so graciously been hurt & broken

I guess I'm what you call a sufferer for the soul in Purgatory. Seem like every so often I'm in pain from some kind of affliction. I have to end up getting surgery. I always offer my pain and suffering up to the poor souls in Purgatory. I offer it up especially for those that have no one to pray for them. My husband and I converted 25 years ago this Easter. We came from protestant families and were never taught about Purgatory. I pray that some of my suffering helps our families or wherever God wants. I can't thank the Holy Spirit and Morher Angelica enough for guiding us to the church Jesus started. JMJ 🙏❤
Wonderful testimony 🙏 yes , a priest told me once that if families are separated from practicing their faith, whatever the reasons, God leads one or two people in their family to pray for them and ask favors for them. I'm one. Big family and I've been the only practicing catholic for years. I am getting much older now and sometimes I'm tired. But I do the best I can and keep going. Don't forget confession. If I were to pick one best thing about the catholic church, I would have to say confession. To me; it's a lifesaver. Literally. Blessings on your continued journey 🙏
Hello all purgatory believers- when a person comes into your mind that you haven’t thought about in a while - start praying for their souls - they most likely need to get out of purgatory. It’s happened to me numerous times and sure enough- they are deceased and I wasn’t aware. Recently , I tried to reconnect w two friends in another state-,both had died.
I'm a Catholic , born into a family of Catholic believing Parents. 6 siblings, instead it was a it was an oldest brother. Who did the non - thinkable ! My age was 5 , knowing that was wrong. My Parents , put into denial. One day my Dad had a heart attack. While Mom was gone. We siblings were playing ..he came down from upstairs. Grap me and pick up me. Laid his hand print . On my back side. His hand print was there for wks. My Mom , then knew it was true.. unfortunately I felt fearful of him many years. Till one day he came to apologize. I forgave him,. Brought him to Christ Jesus. Amen .

I was searching through my church’s My Parish app at the beginning of Lent this year and was immediately drawn to this prayer. I now say it daily, multiple times a day.

This story really resonated with me. A few years ago I had a vivid dream in which a man I didn't know personally (but had lived an extremely sinful life) told me he was sorry for the hurt he caused by his criminal actions. He said it was not who he really was or wanted to be. He then stroked my cheek and the dream was over. Two weeks later I awoke to find a man in shadow standing by my bed. Later I felt compelled to look through my old family photos and noticed how much my dream visitor looked like my late father when he was a young man. I have wondered since then if my dream visitor was my half brother, one I never knew I had. Whether that is the case or not, I'm so glad this video popped up on my UA-cam feed. 🙏

I have a weird question. Where did you get that example about the broken window and purgatory? About 20 years ago I wanted to become Catholic and my husband gave me such a hard time. I can’t even adequately describe the depth of despair I was in. I was trying to understand certain Catholic beliefs, purgatory being one of them and this exact example popped into my head, almost word for word with what you said. In the past 20 years I have heard this exact example way too many times from so many different people. It’s strange. I was never able to become Catholic and I never will be able to but God is ok with that and I can watch videos. So, thanks for this video. This is an amazing story.

I wrote the names of my deceased loved ones in the “book of departed souls” on Nov. 1st so that they would be offered up at every mass celebrated that month (at least 30 masses or more and also at two different churches). Would that count as 30+ masses said for their souls? Thank you!
Christine, I know you know the 30 masses are the Gregorian masses . Sadly, many people never heard of them. The poor souls are forgotten by too many people. Too many people ASSUME we all go straight to heaven!

Yes, purgatory is in fact real. If people would read the saints and do research they would see. Purgatory scares a lot of people but we will certainly shorten our stay if we go at all by having mercy on these poor souls. God will repay us and so will they. I had this dream a year ago. In the dream I was at an office lift lobby and people were happy as they were going home. But the lift had a defect. Someone had to push the door hard from the outside before it started to move. I went in and so were other people. When it was fully occupied someone I knew went in too. She was afraid friend who passed away sometime ago. Then the lift door closed. But no one was outside to push the door. We waited and waited but still there was no one coming to help us. I cried for help and I heard the answer: charity works. I woke up from the dream and didn’t sleep well that night. Next morning I checked my phone and found the chat of another friend who told me about her death. Next week would be her first anniversary. On that day an Archbishop would visit our town. I contacted a friend who would be the driver of the Archbishop and ask if I could ask the Archbishop to say a Mass for her. The Archbishop agreed though on a different day. It was only after the dream that I knew that the friend who passed away was a Protestant. I am happy that she has appeared in my dream. Now I pray for her whenever I attend Mass.
I know this man who commited suicide. Maybe five years later I dreamt about him. He was outside a restaurant and he invited me in for steak. What the dream meant is that you cook steak you dont burn it. So it maybe believe that he was in purgatory and not hell so I had mass said for him and prayed for him.
I was a pediatric office RN in the late 70’s, early 80’s for the pediatricians ( great Godly men) who did the physical exams for sexually and physically abused children. Too many times it was FAMILY MEMBERS- who were the abusers and too many times , the family condemned the innocents victims instead of the abusers. Family members who were courageous enough to report it were chastised by their relatives. The worst case was a teenage boy who sexually molested a one year old!

In Ireland you can get masses said for 12 months,€15 ,you can get shares masses too,but the 12 months are great as the deceased have some chance then.well masses are no good for anyone in hell ,the masses don't go waste ,seemingly the good lord uses them for souls that nobody prays for them 🙏🇮🇪
We always pray specially on the sorrows days Tuesday and Friday for the souls in Purgatory, also for the death ones 30 Gregorian masses and you have to do it on line with the orders because is important that the masses are consecutive and Churches usually have some days reserved for themselves. There are many orders who do that like the Nuns of Mt Carmel or Salesians, etc
How does one ask for 30 days of consecutive Masses of Priests who are limited by the Vatican 2 Church to only one Mass per weekday? And they may have a Parish Mass already? Bishops now limit our Priests ability to say Masses since the 1970’s. There are rebel Priests who may ‘break the rules’ but are hard to find.
Look up the website for Aid to the Church in Need. They arrange for the 30 Gregorian Masses to be said by a priest in poorer countries, so you’re also helping to support their ministry.
When my grandpa was young, he practiced black magic. Really bad things happened to their family & he ended up a double amputee all of my life. He never complained because he said that his punishment for his actions was pain & a wheelchair. 30 yrs later, my step mother stops unannounced to give me his night stand. The same one that was next to his bed but also in the house when he practiced black magic. My aunt had recently told me that the night stand used to bang when he had done spells so I was not happy that it was on my property. I put it in our shed. Not in our house. That night, my daughter, who is very Catholic & prayerful, had weird things happening. Her drinks started getting thrown to the floor. Stuff in her room tossed. I called our priest & he did 30 masses for my grandpa. The paranormal activity did not stop the day we throw the stand out. It stopped when my husband blessed the house with holy water. I will always wonder if it was evil locked in the stand or grandpa asking for Masses. 30 yrs later

When we fell we became completely cut off from God, we lost sight of him entirely in mind, body, and spirit. When Christ Jesus died for us and was resurrected he rebuilt the bridge so that if we so chose we could once again be close to him, to relate to him. Jesus spoke in parables to the masses because the bridge was not yet built and so people didn't yet have the capacity (by way of the Holy Spirit) to understand that he is pure love, mercy, and grace in abundance! Through his sacrifice we once again have eyes to see and ears to hear! Before God gave his only son for us we had the law which taught us how to talk the talk and walk the walk without understanding why in our hearts, God counted us as righteous because of our faith and obedience to the law. Through Christ Jesus we can now talk the talk and walk the walk with understanding in our hearts which grows all throughout our lives as we grow closer to him. He truly is the God Of Wonders and The Prince Of Peace.

Hi Christine,(I pray I’m wrong in what I’m going to say),one of the Fatima,children asked Our Lady if certain person’s who had died were in Heaven,Mary,said some in Heaven but one girl would be in purgatory till the end of time because she’d truly repented just before she died so as not to go to HELL. Now if this girl who has done an immoral act and would be in purgatory till the end of time then I don’t believe the man would only be in purgatory for that period of time considering what abomination’s he’d committed. And we have to be careful not to be deceived by satan appearing as an angel of light. I’ve told Fr Mark Goring,a very holy priest,that he can’t believe in medjugorie and the so called three day’s of darkness! I believed in the so called three day’s of darkness,even bought the beeswax candles,until I heard Ivan,the medjugorie visionary say there’ll be no three day’s of darkness and doesn’t know where the idea came from. (now if it does happen then that would certainly discredit the medjugorie apparition’s!). I believe this so called prophecy has come from a bad spirit disguised as a good spirit. Your story is true, but we also know God's mercy is generous and infinite. Perhaps no one has ever said Gregorian masses for the young girl our lady was referring to because none of us know her name and Gregorian masses weren't known about back then for the children to have ordered.

The only "true church" is Jesus' church. I don't do religion, period, and especially Catholicism. A compromise between the Roman mystery religion (astrotheology) and the distorted teachings of Paul. I'm well aware that you can't tell that to someone so indoctrinated into a religion ABOUT Jesus rather than the religion OF Jesus. Jesus' original teachings have nothing to do with so-called "christianity" of any flavor.
Also there are devotions to go straight to Heaven, as the Oratio, you can look for it, it’s ancient, I prefer ancient Catholicism because there is more rich and less perverted, so you have these 15 prayers you pray for a whole year and Jesus give you 15 things and one it’s go to Heaven . Another devotion is praying for the blood spilled by our Lord and that also will get you to Heaven, during 3 years you pray each day, 2 Our Fathers, 2 Hail Mary’s and 2 Glory’s. Another devotion, each day for the rest of your life the “ daily neglects”, anyway Catholics have so many help that I am surprised that any can end in Hell or Purgatory and the Sacraments of course but still the sacraments can give you a hand and a landline but we need to follow the commandments and have that relationship with God during your lifetime on Earth. The relationship with Jesus Christ always have to be transformative, you change your life forever.
I don't have children or spouse, and youngest among siblings. Someday I might die without Anointing of the sick, or anybody saying a mass for me thereafter. Insurance masses would be nice 😂.
Great story about Purgatory! But your poor mom shouldn’t of taken care of her father who abused her. Her other siblings should have done so. Seems to me that God her Father wouldn’t have held anything against her for staying farrrr away from that man!

When you apply or request masses, no one asks you if you're catholic. At least, that's never been a box I had to tick when requesting masses. I do give an offering for the priest. "The laborer is worth his wage."
Many Near Death Experiences have shown how souls in hell have been saved by the Angels of God or through the intervention of Jesus himself, out of infinite mercy for those damned souls. If such deliverance can happen to souls in the hellish realms, then it is possible that the same can happen through intercessory prayers for those souls who are living in anguish in purgatory.
If that man died, how did he tell you about God showing him heaven and hell? Anyway, if your soul is bound for heaven and is not yet purified of the stains of sin, he will have to go through purgatory first to be cleansed because nothing unclean may enter heaven.
You don't have to be catholic to go to purgatory. It is any religion that can go to purgatory, people in heaven can pray for all the people in purgatory amen, and on earth to pray to amen

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe that someone who commit this outrageous crime goes to purgatory. In my understanding they go straight to hell.
Then you have no idea what kind of God you worship. There is NO SIN too big for God's mercy and forgiveness. All one needs to do is ask. Now, that doesn't mean there isn't going to be horrendous pain in purgatory as those sins are burned off. That's where the stain of those sins is wiped clean.

Please read about the saints and the mystics in the church. They all talk about souls in purgatory. They cannot all be wrong. It is bette to believe that something exists and do what is right than to believe it does not then find out when you die that it actually exists since one you die you cannot save yourself from purgatory - only the living can do so by praying for your soul.

Hello all purgatory believers- when a person comes into your mind that you haven’t thought about in a while - start praying for their souls - they most likely need to get out of purgatory. It’s happened to me numerous times and sure enough- they are deceased and I wasn’t aware. Recently , I tried to reconnect w two friends in another state-,both had died.

I'm a Catholic , born into a family of Catholic believing Parents. 6 siblings, instead it was a it was an oldest brother. Who did the non - thinkable ! My age was 5 , knowing that was wrong. My Parents , put into denial. One day my Dad had a heart attack. While Mom was gone. We siblings were playing ..he came down from upstairs. Grap me and pick up me. Laid his hand print . On my back side. His hand print was there for wks. My Mom , then knew it was true.. unfortunately I felt fearful of him many years. Till one day he came to apologize. I forgave him,. Brought him to Christ Jesus. Amen .

It's like an insult to say anything about praying for someone who just passed away because it's like you are saying their loved one was not a good person. It's so tough today. Even Nass cards are not being given as much, and that's a tragedy for the person in need of masses.

This story really resonated with me. A few years ago I had a vivid dream in which a man I didn't know personally (but had lived an extremely sinful life) told me he was sorry for the hurt he caused by his criminal actions. He said it was not who he really was or wanted to be. He then stroked my cheek and the dream was over. Two weeks later I awoke to find a man in shadow standing by my bed. Later I felt compelled to look through my old family photos and noticed how much my dream visitor looked like my late father when he was a young man. I have wondered since then if my dream visitor was my half brother, one I never knew I had. Whether that is the case or not, I'm so glad this video popped up on my UA-cam feed. 🙏

I have a weird question. Where did you get that example about the broken window and purgatory? About 20 years ago I wanted to become Catholic and my husband gave me such a hard time. I can’t even adequately describe the depth of despair I was in. I was trying to understand certain Catholic beliefs, purgatory being one of them and this exact example popped into my head, almost word for word with what you said. In the past 20 years I have heard this exact example way too many times from so many different people. It’s strange. I was never able to become Catholic and I never will be able to but God is ok with that and I can watch videos. So, thanks for this video. This is an amazing story.

I wrote the names of my deceased loved ones in the “book of departed souls” on Nov. 1st so that they would be offered up at every mass celebrated that month (at least 30 masses or more and also at two different churches). Would that count as 30+ masses said for their souls? Thank you!

Christine, I know you know the 30 masses are the Gregorian masses . Sadly, many people never heard of them. The poor souls are forgotten by too many people. Too many people ASSUME we all go straight to heaven!

Yes, purgatory is in fact real. If people would read the saints and do research they would see. Purgatory scares a lot of people but we will certainly shorten our stay if we go at all by having mercy on these poor souls. God will repay us and so will they. I had this dream a year ago.
In the dream I was at an office lift lobby and people were happy as they were going home. But the lift had a defect. Someone had to push the door hard from the outside before it started to move. I went in and so were other people. When it was fully occupied someone I knew went in too. She was afraid friend who passed away sometime ago. Then the lift door closed. But no one was outside to push the door. We waited and waited but still there was no one coming to help us. I cried for help and I heard the answer: charity works. I woke up from the dream and didn’t sleep well that night.
Next morning I checked my phone and found the chat of another friend who told me about her death. Next week would be her first anniversary. On that day an Archbishop would visit our town. I contacted a friend who would be the driver of the Archbishop and ask if I could ask the Archbishop to say a Mass for her. The Archbishop agreed though on a different day.
It was only after the dream that I knew that the friend who passed away was a Protestant. I am happy that she has appeared in my dream. Now I pray for her whenever I attend Mass.
I know this man who commited suicide. Maybe five years later I dreamt about him. He was outside a restaurant and he invited me in for steak. What the dream meant is that you cook steak you dont burn it. So it maybe believe that he was in purgatory and not hell so I had mass said for him and prayed for him.
I was a pediatric office RN in the late 70’s, early 80’s for the pediatricians ( great Godly men) who did the physical exams for sexually and physically abused children. Too many times it was FAMILY MEMBERS- who were the abusers and too many times , the family condemned the innocents victims instead of the abusers. Family members who were courageous enough to report it were chastised by their relatives. The worst case was a teenage boy who sexually molested a one year old!
Horrifying. Praise God for holy doctors like those you worked with. They will all have to answer to God one day (the good and the bad alike). I pray they all repent before they do.

In Ireland you can get masses said for 12 months,€15 ,you can get shares masses too,but the 12 months are great as the deceased have some chance then.well masses are no good for anyone in hell ,the masses don't go waste ,seemingly the good lord uses them for souls that nobody prays for them 🙏🇮🇪

We always pray specially on the sorrows days Tuesday and Friday for the souls in Purgatory, also for the death ones 30 Gregorian masses and you have to do it on line with the orders because is important that the masses are consecutive and Churches usually have some days reserved for themselves. There are many orders who do that like the Nuns of Mt Carmel or Salesians, etc
How does one ask for 30 days of consecutive Masses of Priests who are limited by the Vatican 2 Church to only one Mass per weekday? And they may have a Parish Mass already? Bishops now limit our Priests ability to say Masses since the 1970’s. There are rebel Priests who may ‘break the rules’ but are hard to find.
There are places you can "order" these masses. They usually farm them out to priests in Africa to do and I can't remember why.
Look up the website for Aid to the Church in Need. They arrange for the 30 Gregorian Masses to be said by a priest in poorer countries, so you’re also helping to support their ministry.
When my grandpa was young, he practiced black magic. Really bad things happened to their family & he ended up a double amputee all of my life. He never complained because he said that his punishment for his actions was pain & a wheelchair.
30 yrs later, my step mother stops unannounced to give me his night stand. The same one that was next to his bed but also in the house when he practiced black magic. My aunt had recently told me that the night stand used to bang when he had done spells so I was not happy that it was on my property.
I put it in our shed. Not in our house. That night, my daughter, who is very Catholic & prayerful, had weird things happening. Her drinks started getting thrown to the floor. Stuff in her room tossed. I called our priest & he did 30 masses for my grandpa. The paranormal activity did not stop the day we throw the stand out. It stopped when my husband blessed the house with holy water.
I will always wonder if it was evil locked in the stand or grandpa asking for Masses.

When we fell we became completely cut off from God, we lost sight of him entirely in mind, body, and spirit. When Christ Jesus died for us and was resurrected he rebuilt the bridge so that if we so chose we could once again be close to him, to relate to him. Jesus spoke in parables to the masses because the bridge was not yet built and so people didn't yet have the capacity (by way of the Holy Spirit) to understand that he is pure love, mercy, and grace in abundance! Through his sacrifice we once again have eyes to see and ears to hear! Before God gave his only son for us we had the law which taught us how to talk the talk and walk the walk without understanding why in our hearts, God counted us as righteous because of our faith and obedience to the law. Through Christ Jesus we can now talk the talk and walk the walk with understanding in our hearts which grows all throughout our lives as we grow closer to him. He truly is the God Of Wonders and The Prince Of Peace.
Does the funeral mass count as part of those masses to release your loved ones from purgatory? Today is my mom’s rosary and tomorrow we will do her funeral mass.

Hi Christine,(I pray I’m wrong in what I’m going to say),one of the Fatima,children asked Our Lady if certain person’s who had died were in Heaven,Mary,said some in Heaven but one girl would be in purgatory till the end of time because she’d truly repented just before she died so as not to go to HELL. Now if this girl who has done an immoral act and would be in purgatory till the end of time then I don’t believe the man would only be in purgatory for that period of time considering what abomination’s he’d committed. And we have to be careful not to be deceived by satan appearing as an angel of light. I’ve told Fr Mark Goring,a very holy priest,that he can’t believe in medjugorie and the so called three day’s of darkness! I believed in the so called three day’s of darkness,even bought the beeswax candles,until I heard Ivan,the medjugorie visionary say there’ll be no three day’s of darkness and doesn’t know where the idea came from. (now if it does happen then that would certainly discredit the medjugorie apparition’s!).

Your story is true, but we also know God's mercy is generous and infinite. Perhaps no one has ever said Gregorian masses for the young girl our lady was referring to because none of us know her name and Gregorian masses weren't known about back then for the children to have ordered.
Please, what can we do, when we die, if that person doesn't have anybody to pray for them to be released from purgatory? If that persons family have no faith, and are strong atheists? Thank you and God bless

The parable of Dives and Lazarus is about Purgatory. Purgatory is in the Old Testament book of Maccabees but Luther under Satan’s inspiration threw out of sacred scripture 7 INSPIRED book’s. The Bible is a Catholic book the protestant Bible is an incomplete and corrupted Catholic book for proof watch Steve Ray’s excellent testimony! (Steve Ray belonged to the Baptist CULT until he saw the true beauty of Catholicism which is everyone’s true home!). There’s NO salvation outside the holy Catholic Church because it’s the ONLY CHURCH. I tell protestant’s to leave their man made protestant CULTS and come home! The only "true church" is Jesus' church. I don't do religion, period, and especially Catholicism. A compromise between the Roman mystery religion (astrotheology) and the distorted teachings of Paul. Also there are devotions to go straight to Heaven, as the Oratio, you can look for it, it’s ancient, I prefer ancient Catholicism because there is more rich and less perverted, so you have these 15 prayers you pray for a whole year and Jesus give you 15 things and one it’s go to Heaven . Another devotion is praying for the blood spilled by our Lord and that also will get you to Heaven, during 3 years you pray each day, 2 Our Fathers, 2 Hail Mary’s and 2 Glory’s. Another devotion, each day for the rest of your life the “ daily neglects”, anyway Catholics have so many help that I am surprised that any can end in Hell or Purgatory and the Sacraments of course but still the sacraments can give you a hand and a landline but we need to follow the commandments and have that relationship with God during your lifetime on Earth. The relationship with Jesus Christ always have to be transformative, you change your life forever.
Jesus said, You won’t get out until you’ve paid the last penny.
You don’t get out of hell.
But you get out of purgatory.

Great story about Purgatory! But your poor mom shouldn’t of taken care of her father who abused her. Her other siblings should have done so. Seems to me that God her Father wouldn’t have held anything against her for staying farrrr away from that man!

Can anyone tell me where people not belonging to the Christian faith can be prayed Gregorian masses for them.
When you apply or request masses, no one asks you if you're catholic. At least, that's never been a box I had to tick when requesting masses. I do give an offering for the priest. "The laborer is worth his wage."
Many Near Death Experiences have shown how souls in hell have been saved by the Angels of God or through the intervention of Jesus himself, out of infinite mercy for those damned souls. If such deliverance can happen to souls in the hellish realms, then it is possible that the same can happen through intercessory prayers for those souls who are living in anguish in purgatory.

I hope you're right, that there is a purgatory but I recently met a man that died and God showed him heaven and hell, no purgatory.
If that man died, how did he tell you about God showing him heaven and hell? Anyway, if your soul is bound for heaven and is not yet purified of the stains of sin, he will have to go through purgatory first to be cleansed because nothing unclean may enter heaven.
You don't have to be catholic to go to purgatory. It is any religion that can go to purgatory, people in heaven can pray for all the people in purgatory amen, and on earth to pray to amen
There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. Dogma. Prots by Baptism become members of Catholic Church, albeit heretical ones. The unbaptized are very unlikely to avoid hell. Why did Mary at Fatima say to pray for conversions if anyone in any religion is saved? Pray. Pray. Pray. Otherwise, you truly hate non-Christians.

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe that someone who commit this outrageous crime goes to purgatory. In my understanding they go straight to hell.
They go to purgatory if they repent even if it’s the last second.
Then you have no idea what kind of God you worship. There is NO SIN too big for God's mercy and forgiveness. All one needs to do is ask. Now, that doesn't mean there isn't going to be horrendous pain in purgatory as those sins are burned off. That's where the stain of those sins is wiped clean.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8. To say there is a Purgatory is saying the blood of Jesus wasn’t sufficient. On the cross Jesus said it is finished. Please read about the saints and the mystics in the church. They all talk about souls in purgatory. They cannot all be wrong. It is bette to believe that something exists and do what is right than to believe it does not then find out when you die that it actually exists since one you die you cannot save yourself from purgatory - only the living can do so by praying for your soul.
