  • If you have ever wondered what the Console 1 Mixing System works, feels, and sounds like, this video will cover the basic hybrid workflow.
Whether you are looking to improve the quality of your mixes, searching for a "hands on" approach to mixing, or looking to freshen things up, the Console 1 could be a great solution for you.
This unit does not come without cons:
    price of unit
price of plug-ins that you have to buy after buying the unit 😳
    learning curve
    space and usb hub requirements
All in all, I personally decided that this was the best move for me as I was looking to simplify and streamline my workflow. I am beyond elated! 🍻

A question (I don't have either Conole or Fader1 just doing my homework.)
I make use of the "Pack Folders" Feature in Studio One a lot. Saves time and way less annoying then setting up groups. This way I can organize guitars in a folder, keyboards in a folder etc.
Would either Console 1 or Fader 1 recognize the folders and I can open and close as needed?
I'm sure other DAW's like Logic, and so on also have this feature even if they call it something else??

Hey there. What’s going on? In logic pro we do have a feature called pack folders but cannot control them by way of key commands. Utilizing groups inside of logic pro gives you way more flexibility such as selecting tracks from a particular group and so on. Because I do not know studio one I cannot answer your question appropriately. I will say this, there are three assignable buttons in which you can assign a key command to essentially pack or unpack a folder or go out of the folder into the main tracks area once it’s been selected. I do know that softtube takes web appointments for questions like this (specific to Console 1 system) on their website. Hope this helps. Cheers!

@@_TheModernCreative Helps. also FYI, Studio One & Logic share a lot of commonality. I have a bunch of friends/fellow producers who use a combination of both. (of course they have Macs, I have a PC so I can't use Logic Pro... if II could I' would. Love what that software offers.

I’ve heard and now people have converted to and from. Thx for that mate. The important thing is to find a DAW that works is stable and keep things simple as we stay in action.

Hi ! Does the console fader runs well with Logic? Lot of people are disapointed with problems between this both

I have 2 videos on the channel as it relates to the workflow and my opinion. Those will tell the whole story but Console 1 is not fully integrated with Logic Pro and I do not believe it will ever be. That being said, it is perfect for me as I already have my bus/sends automatically routed to another midi controller along with volume and pan. That seems to be the biggest missing and that is ok for my workflow. I am on Logic 10.7.2 (Big Sur) and Automation works perfectly, recall is easy, parameters function great (and sounds awesome).

for automated faders I like using Behringer x touch extenders by themselves (without the master x touch). compact and does the trick and works well with logic. basic functionality of motorized faders, mute/solo./pan/select and tracks follow both ways
