Good job ! At first it looked like a belsaw, but that has lots of better features, especially the carriage and dog system……..and you gave yourself room to work the edger… you know your stuff. Thanx
Interesting machine, almost looks like a combination between a traditional Frick mill and a bench rack system. Might consider a poly carbonate shield between the blade/operator but you would have to design something that wouldn't encumber the operator. Met 2 different guys that have been hurt on them, one by flying shrapnel. Best Regards
Like your setup brother. Can't believe someone abandoned that baby. I'm in the process of reviving and upgrading my old belsaw. Installing a hydraulic motor to run the carriage spool. Belts aren't smooooth. Is that an excavator in the background? Have a 750jd myself.
Really nice set up! very impressed by how you have it so it flows no edging on main saw takes lots of time to do, what runs the carriage hydraulics or cable or where does power unit set
Hydraulic carriage. If you look on at the bottom of the sawmill on the ground there is a wooden box that runs along the floor. That wooden box covers the drive line that is running to the power unit. When you operate the mill you are standing between the mill, and the power unit.
Nice work!! I like the modern sawdust collection system. The chain with paddles you see on old mills is pretty lame. How many hours of work to get it going 500hrs?
I had also never heard of a Utilizer. There doesn't seem to be a ton of information on them, but I have done some research. The info I found suggest they were They were manufactured in Scottsburg, Indiana around 1978.

Good to see put to use, not rusting away.
Yeah. I'm very happy to see it running. We will be doing some more with it soon. Just trying to wrap up a few projects before winter hits us hard.
Love the video! I can watch these old Circular sawmills forever my grandpa had one of these you just got yourself a new subscriber!
Great. Welcome to the channel. Glad you enjoyed.

Thanks John. I watch your videos all the time. Thanks for watching.
Well done , perfect little power source , bet that mill never ran so good even when it was new
Thank you.

Thank you. It has been a fun project.
Nice mill!! Hope to see more sawing videos
We are absolutely going to make more videos of the mill. Coming soon.
Sweet set up !
Thanks!

They can be dangerous for sure. Standing off center of the blade greatly reduces the risk of flying bits.
Alt aber gut ! 👍 Habe mir es selbst Gebaut aber klein bis max 26cm 🟤 Mit Kreissäge geht ! Und kann sogar Runde Balken machen ❗ ( Mini Sägewerk ) 👍💪
That sounds pretty neat. I would like to see that.
@@zuleamen Das gibt es Live in Austria ! Eigenbau es gibt auch ein Video (Mini Sägewerk) L. G. Danke ! 🤠

That sounds like a cool project. Yes the excavator is a Yanmar zero clearance.

Getting it moved. Setting it up. Building the shed. Getting everything set and calibrated. I would say 250-350 hours.
great work, friend, where are you from? Greetings from me in Indonesia
North Carolina in the USA. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed.
Old Yankee saw ,once saw a holder fly out and hit my old man in the back of his hand ,made a right mess
I guarantee it
thanks for video i have a utilizer mill please any pictures or anything would be greatly app i just bought it
Its a fun little mill. What kind of pictures would you like?
I respectfully suggest you not place your right hand on the log as it feeds into the running blade.
Sound suggestion I have no doubt.
@@zuleamen the camera angle is deceiving him.
He is pretty far away from the blade, But like Harry said. I'm sure its not a good habit to get into.

o machado e a motosserra (The Axe And The Chainsaw)
entraram junto no mato pra mostrar a serventia
a motosserra roncava machado velho tinia
e naquele matagal foi só cavaco de pau pó de serra que subia
e esse grande duelo deste jeito é que termina
na briga das ferramentas o machado é que domina
motosserra parou cedo ali no tronco da quina
machado seguiu cortando mata grossa e mata fina
motosserra impotente rebentou sua corrente acabou a gasolina
