Your enthusiasm and passion for these books is reason enough to watch this video, nevermind the great recs! I read Red Queen earlier this year and just loved it - 5 stars from someone who doesn't always get on with dystopian novels. I can't wait to see how the story progresses in the second instalment. Added a few books to my wishlist after this video, but I'll be keeping a keen eye out for Passenger next year.

I love the study series. My friends and i read them in high school and it was so good that I was reading each one in a day, which doesn't ever usually happen for me.
I bought outlander because you've mentioned it in a few videos. I lent it to my sister before I had the chance to read it. She LOVED it. She said its her new all time favorite book, better than anything she's ever read (and we read a lot). She said it makes you feel every single emotion you've ever had. I can not wait to get it back from her so I can read it!!!
My favorite books: 1.) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fotzgerald 2.) The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis 3.) The Diviners by Libba Bray 4.) To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee 5.) Can't wait for part 2! My favorite books include: the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, the Harry Potter series of course, The fault in our stars, the If I stay series, The Host, The mortal instruments series, The infernal devices series ... I kind of have a thing for series.
The day i finished the harry potter series i swore to myself i would never love any other book like i loved harry potter, its been 5 years since i made that promise. Still going strong.
I still want to start the Poison Study series. I've only been looking at it for years, but something else always gets my attention first. Also (because you made the comment at the end) you should have said "you and me" because "me" is the object of the preposition "for," but it's good that you knew enough to question your choice. Questioning your own grammar shows that you know more than you think. Good job.
So, I just started Glass Sword this morning, and I'm super excited to see it sitting on the shelf behind you. lol I think I can see where this is going.
Literally read the throne of glass series and red queen this summer because of your recommendations and LOVE THEM! Can't wait to read some of these! Thanks!
From the ones you mentioned I freaking ADORE: -THRONE OF GLASS SERIES (I CRIED, LAUGH AND FELT EVERYTHING IN MY CORE WITH THIS BOOK A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.) [I`m kidding you not, this is the first saga I've read so quickly, I finished the books in a freaking week and I'm still daydreaming about them]. -POISON STUDY (I finished the first in one sitting) -OBSIDIAN (one of my first sagas, and the first books I read from the awesome Jennifer L. Armentrout -OUTLANDER (just...yessss).
Maliha Intikhab i know this reply comes way late. But IMO the rest of the books are equally good to a point. There are some recurring themes that made the story feel repetitive and left me feeling 'meh'. I prefer the Lord John spinoff. I don't want to do spoilers so I'll leave it at that.
the only harry potter book that i wasnt absolutely in love with was goblet of fire that one is so slow my all time favorite is the third can you make a video of all the harry potter books in order from favorite to least
1) a summer's nightmare by kody keplinger 2)everything, everything by nicola yoon 3)anna and the French kiss by Stephanie perkins 4) the moon and more by sarah dessen 5) the queen of shadows by sarah j. maas
Flashback listening to you talk about the Sarah J Maas books , oh Tamlin.. love the description for ToG don't even need to suggest we read the entire series because its a given that the world will captivate any and everyone (I cried so hard at the end of EoS and will 10000% cry when the final book arrives in October)
1. Probably the Mortal Instruments Series- Cassandra Clare 2. The Perks Of Being a Wallflower- Stephen Chbosky 3. Looking for Alaska- John Green 4. The Outsiders- S.E. Hinton 5. Paper Towns- John Green 6. The Need series- Carrie Jones 7. Grave Mercy- Robin LaFevers 8. The Gathering- Kelley Armstrong 9. Firestarter- Stephen King 10. The Host- Stephanie Meyer
can u please help me out with my book club? we don't have a lot of members and I want student readers to get involved. Can u give me some ways to convince people to join other than making posters and flyers?
I hope you don't mind my saying (you asked!) but no, "you and I" wasn't the right grammar. It should be "you and me", because in the sentence you said, it's the object rather than the subject. (Sorry! I thought you might like to know).
My topp 10 favorite books right now! 1. Harry Potter and the order of phoenix - J. K. Rowling 2. Clockwork angel - Cassandra Clare 3. Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief - Rick Riordan 4. Hello Sasha. I have been watching your videos for a while now and i sort of have an idea of the types of books you enjoy reading and your favourite books that you keep mentioning in most of your videos. But i have noticed that many of the books mentioned in this video are books you have just recently read. Just my own thought: do you think you would call them your favourite books of all time after a year from now? Don't you think that your recent enthusiasm after reading them makes you believe they are your favourite books of ALL time? I'm only asking because it does happen to me sometimes when i read a book and get all excited but after a while, i read it again and think 'nope, not as good as first time'.
My favorites: Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas, Alanna the Lioness by Tamora Pierce, Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, Matched by Ally Condie, Shatter Me by Teherah Mafi, The Selection by Kiera Cass, Wither by Lauren DeStefano, and The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
I love Poison Study! Ahh! I'm so glad to hear someone else talk about it! I am always talking about how much I love this book and trying to find other people to read it as well. XD
favorite books ( in no particular order ) 1. Shades of Magic series - V.E. Schwab 2. The Raven Cycle series - Maggie Stiefvater 3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone series - Laini Taylor 4. Fire and Thorns series - Rae Carson 14.Out of the Easy - Ruta Sepetys 15. Under the Never Sky series - Veronica Rossi
Aside from Harry Potter... Between Shades of Gray (my favorite oh my gosh it is so good), The Book Thief, the Chemical Garden Trilogy, the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Crispin: The Cross of Lead, the His Fair Assassin series, The Tale of Despereax, the Maze Runner series, and All the Light We Cannot See. I'm hoping this will change soon because I have a ton of books I'm super excited about on my TBR!
Sasha! This doesn't really have that much to do with this video but I just finished reading a book called A Long Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan. I picked it up from the library on a whim (not gunna lie I picked it up cause it has a nice cover oops) and about half way through it I put it down and all I could think was 'Sasha would love this'. Its a sort of re-telling of Sleeping Beauty, with a futurist twist, along with aliens, and an assassin. I really enjoyed it and if you get a chance you should definitely pick it up!
it's awesome seeing your dormroom bookshelf fill up as your time at college progresses! i remember how only one shelf was filled when you first started haha - love your videos sasha!
I don't think I can pick 10 ten favorite books, but Outlander is one of them and I only read it and watched the tv show because you like it so much, so thank you, Sasha!!!
Hi sasha!!!! My favourite books are: 1: City of bones by Cassandra Clare. 2:clockwork angel by Cassandra Clare. 3:Gone by Michael grant. 4:Paper towns by John green. 5:ink and bone by Rachel Caine. 6:the 5th wave by Rick yancey. 7:wonder by R.J. palacio. 8:the bane chronicals by Cassandra Clare. 9:Harry potter by j.k Rowling. 10:love lucie by marita Conklin McKenna.
The moment I saw Outlander and City of Bones, I knew your taste in books was credible. Two of my all time favorites! Can’t wait to read your other favorites!(:
You read so many books but.. None of your favorites are classics? I mean all these books are nice and all but I wouldn't categorize them as favorites, they are usually just for fun and dont really stay with you. But maybe this is just me, I want a book to speak to my soul.
Its again preference. I personally don't like any of the classics i have read till now and i have read quite alot of them. I didn't connect with them at all. The characters mostly annoy me. Its just my personal opinion though.
Now it's kind of fashionable to read. Reading classics- means understanding the real literature, feeling the depth of the word. Let them read modern garbage. Not all of the books I see on these review channels are trash, but fairly the most part. Sadly, fewer and fewer number of people can read and understand classics, without finding it boring nowadays :( I'd rather say: people can read, but they can't READ, nobody told them how to do it properly
You are exactly the type of people that discourage people from getting into reading. Everyone has a right to choose what they like. Classics do it for you but not for others. Isn't reading enjoying and finding yourself in it. I didn't know you needed to have a way of reading to understand classics or to understand any book. Everyone has their perception, please respect that.
I think you might need to widen your reading range a bit. If you think Throne of Glass was an amazing read, you should read beyond all those YA series. Throne of Glass was so basic, I didn't see much depth from any of the characters and the plot felt very formulaic. I respect that your taste is generally for YA romance and fantasy, but...just spice things up a bit? All these stories are so similar to each other, just different worlds. Sigh. Not what I expected from a book UA-cam channel. I only say this because I used to read a lot of YA in high school, and the stories became so predictable, almost as if the authors know what works and sells so they exhaust that formula to its CORE. I'm now basically disgusted at most YA. Then I started to read more non-YA (like Scott Card, Herbert, Salvatore, some classics...generally books that had almost zero romance). While I still read some YA, I do so only when I want extremely light reading, when I don't want to think or feel so much the way Dune or Speaker for the Dead made me both appreciate and question humanity. I felt like I was missing out and boxing myself in predictable romance fluffs, and FREED myself from that padded room. Broaden your horizons! Outlander seems interesting tho :)
Jo Stewart I get your point. But just for the record, I'm not belittling her taste. Everybody likes different things and there's nothing wrong with that. Just thought it might be a good idea to read a few things from other genres. If she doesn't like any of them, then that's okay too. My point is to just try new things. Nothing wrong with that.
Jo Stewart Not at all! Just wanted to clear it up haha. Same here! Granted, I haven't read ALL the classics out there, but I certainly make sure to try a few from every genre. And since writing that comment a while back, I've tried reading some YA, like Queen of the Tearling and A Darker Shade of Magic (is it YA?) and both their sequels, and I've LOVED them all so far. I guess I kinda ate my words, huh? Haha. Yes! I love how there's always something for everybody, and there's ALWAYS something new to try. I read the first book a few years ago, and I liked the world well enough. I might start that series again once I finish a few from my immediate reads list (which, let's be honest, gets longer with every booktube video I watch haha)
Jo Stewart Then it's an amazing YA series, it is haha. Yeah, but it's kind of a pet peeve for me when people aren't consistent with their convictions and all. But of course, we always have to make room for change in ourselves and other people :) Aw it's the same for me too! I'm still a student and we're not exactly a wealthy family. Most of the secondhand bookstores here don't sell the books I like so it's a bit difficult. Oh wow, third time. Definitely on my to be read, then. I've seen that too! It has a lot of amazing reviews, how could it not be on my November TBR? Just finished A Gathering of Shadows, and I'm still choosing among Seveneves, Ready Player One, Vicious (I can't stop the Schwab!), and Six of Crows. Hurgck, any advice?
I actually just finished The Bronze Horseman and its just wow. I will absolutely read the second book Tatiana and Alexander. You really have good taste in books! :)
Love the books! Also love your hair and sweater and lipstick and you're looking gorgeous in this vid! (Not that you're not always gorgeous. But all the red tones around you is super pretty!)

Schwab - "A Tale Dark and Grimm" by Adam Gidwitz which sadly not a lot of people know about (it's a retelling of a a lot of different fairy tales and it's wonderful, bloody and sarcastic and I just love it) - "The Martian" by Andy Weir - "An Ember in the Ashes" - "A Court of Thorns and Roses" - "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer - "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte - Percy Jackson and last but not least "Hogfather" by Terry Pratchett I also started reading "The Queen of the Tearling" and "Outlander" and absolutely love it so far :)

I love how you had one cover of A thousand nights in your hand and another copy behind you, shows how much you really love it lol
That bookshelf is shared between her suite mates who also read so it could be someone else's copy

All the links to the books are in the description box! :)
Can you please do a video on time management like how do you balance college life and finding time to read ?
can u please help me out with my book club? we don't have a lot of members and I want student readers to get involved.
Oh god, I feel so horrible and pedantic now! Sorry! I'm a nice person, I swear.
how did you get The Glass Sword early!?

It makes me so happy that most of your favorites are mine too!! And I have to say your hair looks amazing!
Bronze Horseman!! makes me so happy that's in your top 3. It's my all-time favorite and Outlander is a close second. I hope you get to read T&A soon!
I read like two books a MONTH!

Ikr 😩😩 like what is life!!!
She got it when she went to the publisher
Jelke Lenaerts Really? She's lucky. I would love to have a copy now.
Book bloggers and youtubers get Advanced Readers Copies because the authors need reviews to critique their work so they can improve it somehow.

Really interesting choice of books. I have recently read A Crown of Thorns and Roses and loved it. Look forward to the part 2 of this video
I am going to grade 8 and I m wondering if it would be okay for me to read the throne of glass series
It would be great if anyone answers
This is soo late, but my friend who's that age said it's fine until bk 5 for romance (if violence throughout doesn't bother you)
I don't know why age would stop you from reading whatever you feel like reading
Aside from Harry Potter...
Between Shades of Gray (my favorite oh my gosh it is so good), The Book Thief, the Chemical Garden Trilogy, the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Crispin: The Cross of Lead, the His Fair Assassin series, The Tale of Despereax, the Maze Runner series, and All the Light We Cannot See. I'm hoping this will change soon because I have a ton of books I'm super excited about on my TBR!
You're giving me Amelia pond vibes in this video lol
Yasmine Knowles Manson Yeees! your right😊
Shit how can you read 2 books a week? you must be a fast reader or have a lot of extra time on your hands
Glass Sword chilling casually on the shelf *breathes slowly in and then out* I NEED THAT!
whyyy is she so preettyyyyyy

The moment I saw Outlander and City of Bones, I knew your taste in books was credible. Two of my all time favorites! Can’t wait to read your other favorites!(:
I knew Outlander was the first one
+Ashley Garcia same XD
Ashley Garcia I watched the outlander series but I bet the book is good.
Your voice is adorable I love to watch these just to hear you talk.
You read so many books but.. None of your favorites are classics? I mean all these books are nice and all but I wouldn't categorize them as favorites, they are usually just for fun and dont really stay with you. But maybe this is just me, I want a book to speak to my soul.
Not everyone likes classics. Everyone have their own preference in what they might fall in love with.
+upasana kothari i agree, but... i expected at least ONE classic. They are classics for a reason
Sadly, fewer and fewer number of people can read and understand classics, without finding it boring nowadays :(
I'd rather say: people can read, but they can't READ, nobody told them how to do it properly
These are a few of my favorite books:
The Snow White trilogy - Salla Simukka
&
The Wolves of Mercy Falls trigoly & Scorpio Races - Maggie Stiefvater
Jo Stewart And alright, if you say the writing gets better in TOG, then I'll give it a shot :)
