Really good to see this comparison. Great vid. I'm about to face off the YESwelder vs Lincoln, vs Harbor Frieght. I like my yeswelder but the head gear if floppy and I get arc flashed a lot more often especially low Amp Tig welds. Keep making great videos!

Right! Thanks! I have the Tooliom out at my place in the country and have had good luck using it for a few projects this summer. Good luck on your test! Thanks for watching !

I bought the Yeswelder helmet you are reviewing here and I have flashing problems with it. It also came a bit mis-shapened. The flashing issue occurred after owning it for 40 days. I am still in a never-ending correspondence with Yeswelder just to get them to replace the helmet. I've called and emailed twice. They don't want me to send it in, but say I need to create and produce a video of the problem. So I have to go out and buy the equipment for that, hire extra people to help, and then do video editing and send it in a small enough file for email? No thank you. I don't even know how in the world I would capture this from behind the mask. I'm not a video professional. This is absurd. They keep asking me to perform the same trouble-shooting steps repeatedly despite my assurances they don't work. I think they are having so many issues with these $75 helmets that they are trying to prevent returns altogether under warranty. I have spent way too much time on this. I do not recommend Yeswelder. In my experience they are not honoring their warranties by gaming their out-of-country status.

Right, I don’t know how they could make you make a video about a flash. You’d have to have a camera inside the helmet if if and when it does, it sounds stupid to me most of the guts of those things better the same I played with a few of them, trying to make myself a dedicated videotaping helmet for a camera, they’re supposed be pretty good with your Customer Service although I never had to use it. Good luck.

Don't want a mask - any mask - that needs batteries. They are a pita. If you work hard & long, the batteries last no time. I want it to run off the arc-light - solar. Running off a battery is a deal breaker for me. Nope. Vires do a good "solar" powered mask that is very rugged - I have yet to break mine & I break masks for sport by working them to death.

I agree , if I was doing a lot of welding day in and day out I would have better equipt!

@@1rustytree I have loads(loads - joking aside) of hugely Posh "Big Screen" masks here that were expensive & are now bricks - there's a pile of masks in a corner that are no longer with us - one feature or another kicked the bucket - some were 300 quid plus. The Vires one I now use all day every day was 49 quid - it doesn't have a big screen, but it does have a very clear, true colour one - plus it can take being dropped 20 times a day, the headband grips my head even when I'm wearing a wool hat as it's freezing, or when I amn't - and it stays flipped up when I flip it up - loads don't.
Main thing is it never annoys me, I barely notice it working & it was superb value for money - if it breaks, I will buy another. I can't say that for 3m speedglass & I used buy those before I got smarter.
