Thanks for the video. May their courage and sacrifice never be forgotten and let's hope it doesn't happen again and, if it does, may we all have the courage to stand up.

We were in Margraten today. Saw a 🇺🇸WWII vet in a wheel chair escorted by a young 🇳🇱volunteers to honor the fallen and visit the grave of a friend. Then went to Gulpen to see the celebration and saw five 🇺🇸WWIi vets hosted by the 🇳🇱. The oldest vet, age 103, played the saxophone for the crowd. The Alps move me to tears as did this reenactment. I believe this video of liberty and freedom feels right on your channel. 🇺🇸🇳🇱
@@lyndoncmp5751Good morning, we were at two liberation events on September 15. The small commemorative flags handed out were Canadian and British. The small American flag did not get handed out but the the five WWII American veterans (ages between 98 - 103) were there and the most moving part of the celebration. The people in uniforms are volunteers and the vehicles volunteered by Belgium and Dutch who volunteer their time for these gatherings. The Dutch museums and memorials throughout the country are accurate but the local celebrations are organized for honoring all service people who were liberators or died in the cause. We have found some incredible UA-cam channels that have actual footage of the Netherlands in war time between 1944 and 1945. I hope my answer explains why the flags, uniforms, and vehicles may not match the actual military units. It was lovely to celebrate freedom, the liberators and the fallen even though the 80-year old artifacts and replicas were a bit mixed up. ❤
My village - Vaals - was liberated 19 October 1944, during the preparations for the battle of Aachen. For weeks the front had halted a few miles away and Vaals was considered contested, so grey on the map. Until one day an American engineering crew in a jeep got lost, entered the village and noticed all Germans had pulled back.
What a little gem of a find this was, many thanks for posting. Unfortunately our Globalist politicians regardless of the political flag they fly do not want this type of highly skilled creativity in this country.

Wonderful to commemorate the sacrifices made by men and women 80 years ago, in the fight against tyranny. An appalling shame that our present day leaders have ignored those sacrifices and have handed our once great Country over to radical terrorism.

@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K danke? You would prefer the Netherlands be governed by a homicidal, criminal regime? 80 years ago those vehicles were driven by young British and American men who would rather have been home having a beer with their friends and watching football but they answered the call and got in front of Nazi bullets to liberate the Dutch (and French, Belgians, etc). Several thousand never made it home and are still in the Netherlands six feet underground. The US never made a dime by liberating the Netherlands. Our taxpayers put out tens of millions of dollars to liberate your countrymen because it was the right thing to do. And you say ‘danke’ when some guy living in his mother’s basement suggests that the nazis should have won the Second World War? No British flag in your post? Strange, seeing as this video is about the advance of the British 2nd Army through Valkenswaard.

Mostly American star vehicles but with guys wearing British uniforms
The British Army used a lot of American vehicles. Plus their own of course. The lack of British vehicles is very strange here though, you're right.
The star was on all allied vehicles to keep recognition simple.
Und in Arnheim war dann erstmal Ende.
Wrong side won.
Danke 👍
