If N.O. wants Kevin Love, the BK Pick and another role player, I'm doing that deal *ALL DAY LONG* if I'm CLV. Lebron is gone next season anyway, and that pick isn't going to bring back a player as good as AD. They can rebuild around him next year, and STILL can complete for a title this year. It's a win-win for CLV.

Yeah they didn't give up much, but only in hindsight do we see that. Most people at the time of the deal agree that the Celtics gave up too much. They gave up their star in IT, who was an MVP candidate 30ppg scorer the previous year, Jae Crowder, who in Boston was a good defender who had decent scoring (a nice wing player, which you need to succeed in the league nowadays), a young guy in Zizic and an (at the time) extremely valuable Nets pick. That's a LOT for a guy in Kyrie Irving who had only ever proven himself to be a great scorer. Of course, now that IT and Crowder haven't really panned out, and Kyrie has, its easy to say the Celtics didn't give up much, but again, only in hindsight can we see that.
