I really do not know the brand but my first writing tool was a pencil. It was twice the size of a Staedler with a lead that was twice as thick. It had no eraser. We were taught to cross out the error, not erase it. The paper was very low grade. I will say it has bits of wood shavings in it. We could use ballpoint in second grade and we're allowed fountain pens in sixth grade.
In the US, many kids in kindergarten begin to write with a round Ticonderoga pencil. I used one that was blue and did not have an eraser.
