Best espresso martinis I’ve had (other than my own lol): herradura (what I think is the best tequila brand) sent a rep to come to a bar I used to work at. He made an espresso martini with their reposado and added a pinch of salt. Completely Changed how I viewed making cocktails. a bartender I used to work with made me one with Plantation Dark Rum. Also incredible, would love to try again with their pineapple Dark Rum. I understand the use of cold brew because of how much work/inconvenience it is to get espresso. My recommendation? Get a big moka pot. It makes espresso that’s not as strong as a machine’s but it’s much bolder in flavor and creamier than cold brew and gives your cocktail better foam and will give you a lot of espresso at one time rather than a machine that’ll give u little by little. I make my own coffee liqueur with vanilla extract, dark brown sugar, sweet vermouth, fernet branca, and a few other ingredients. Also infuse ground coffee in some vodka. 2 ounces of that coffee infused vodka, 1oz of my liqueur and 1oz of moka pot espresso. I had a few people say they didn’t like it but the vast majority did. Thanks for reading my rant lol.
Coffee is an important flavor for the majority of people, and I'm sure the espresso martini is great. But us tea drinkers get left behind. Maybe a selfish ask, but it would be fun to see an episode devoted to cocktails that lean into tea.
As a bartender, one of my favorite cocktails I’ve created is tea based. Infuse a gin with early grey tea leaves for ~2 hours (not more, it can get bitter). Use two ounces of the infused gin, .75 oz honey syrup, .75 oz lemon juice, and 2 dashes of orange bitters. Serve up in a chilled couple with a lemon peel garnish!

15:42 I'd say that, at least in Norway, the thing most young people get drunk on and never get later in life, would be something like 20%ABV "vodka" - often flavoured. This is because spirits under 21,5% can be purchased at 18y/o, while anything 22%-60% has a minimum age of 20 (spirits above 60%ABV are typically not possible to aquire in Norway, unless you are a scientist or ask the government to specifically allow you to import it). Home distilling of alcohol is also illegal.
It would also be interesting to swap a quarter or half an oz of the tequila with mezcal, or do the same with whiskey & scotch (the latter being the smaller measurement) to bring just a tiny bit of smokiness into the picture. 2 oz of mezcal or scotch would absolutely ruin the coffee though (I've tried it with scotch before, never again).
