What a selfish conceited jerk.I don’t think she should get back with him after abandoning her for years. He thinks being rich makes her wants him. She loves the old him not the new him.

Not years but it was a while between him quitting his job and starting his own company. He thought that by showing her father that he was not just a dead beat cop but was able to provide for her that her father would approve of them being together. Unfortunately, he left without communicating and that upset her. She never cared about his finances but only that they were honest with each other. Of course, she was not very good at keep her attack dog father at bay to make him feel worthless.
